Good to see survivorship and late effects listed as a pressure point. Studies clearly show cancer survivors have poorer long-term health that those without cancer and that post treatment support is a postcode lottery for access to specialist late-effects services. @PRDA_uk

This is a really interesting study as benefits of high intensity exercise and resistance training are shown to have benefit for women during therapy. However, the benefits declined over time and this highlights the need to continue physical activity longer-term @SurvOncMASCC

Wonderful to meet up with amazing UK colleagues at MASCC Lille. Both are passionate about radiotherapy late-effects and improving care for people living with and beyond a cancer diagnosis ⁦@SurvOncMASCC⁩ ⁦⁦⁦@ESTRO_RT

Rehabilitation is such a game changer for people who have received cancer treatment. Not only in reducing side effects, extending survival, for some cancers, but improving quality of life. Great to see WHO package of interventions for malignant neoplasms @cancernurseEU @ESTRO_RT

@DeborahWBruner1 Financial toxicity and its relationship to cancer outcomes is not unique to the US. Rural location and distance from radiotherapy centre, even in a public health system, impact treatment decision making because of the cost of travel and accommodation. @ESTRO_RT @SurvOncMASCC

Peripheral neuropathy from cancer or chemotherapy won’t kill you but it really impacts on quality of life. It gets worse as you age, impacts work and living!! We need more help and investment in research. @LesleyLesleys @WaldenstromsMac @CancerCareMASCC

@LesleyLesleys I do wonder why nurses are rare at ESTRO not even a tick box for profession? CNS provides so much support for patients who have multi-modality therapy but do they really understand radiotherapy or late effects #estr24 @cancernurseEU
