This is very concerning. David Hodne was my Squadron commander during my 08 deployment to Iraq. His morals and honor were unquestionable. He used his personal security detail like a QRF, almost always being the first to help a platoon in contact. Things could have changed, I know rank can do that to a man, but I highly doubt it. The Lt Col Hodne I knew wouldn’t execute an order he believed was immoral, which is why I’m concerned. Paratus et Fidelis, I hope you land on your feet.

If the US sends in ground troops, it will be the end of the American Empire and the start of a future American Civil War. There is zero appetite to fight an Israeli War. Particularly by the younger generation, who the boomers have fucked at every stage of their life. These people have nothing to lose. If a draft is ultimately called, you can bet every last cent they would prefer to fight the tyrants sending them to war than the alleged enemy. Not good.

I will never understand going to bat for corporations that only ever make the things we love worse. Like, do these people even pay attention to the general lack of quality that gets released on the daily in the AAA space (especially with Bethesda?). I could maybe understand dick riding FromSoft or Valve, but to go to bat for a company that continually lets down it's core audience - not it's general audience, but it's fucking CORE audience again and again is insane. I'm not sure if it's some kind of corpo Stockholm syndrome of it's actual genetic degradation that gets a grown man to glaze a company that has only ever done the wrong thing by him.

@abracetradicao Pessoal aparentemente curte mais o New Vegas, eu nunca fui muito longe nesse. Já o Fallout 3 é o que eu mais gostei, e aprendi muito inglês por conta desse game na época, tentando entender as coisas e indo no tradutor.

With each new title they've dumbed things down to appeal to a wider audience and it's worked but at the cost of depth, and if you keep doing that you end up with something like Starfield. Bethesda have given me many great memories over the years, I played Morrowind to death and enjoyed FO3 despite the writing and lack of meaningful choices, but they're not the same company and I don't think they're capable of recapturing what they once were.

No one makes games like Bethesda - no one. I want Elder Scrolls 6 and Fallout 5 to succeed, but for the love of god I want them to improve their writing and design. Their watered down approach to narrative and worldbuilding feels so "first draft" and underdeveloped. The worst part: their ideas get close, but they never commit. They can present these visually striking locations, but the moment you scratch the surface - there's nothing. They have all these characters, companions and NPC's, but none of them have any sense of humanity or nuance or edge to them. Their characters don't feel like people. If only they zeroed in on making their games feel deeper (and not wider) they would recapture what made their old games so special.

No single image of Starfield better illustrates how toothless, gutless, lacking in grit and texture than this one does. I made the mistake of visiting Neon late in my playthrough, excited about the idea of visiting a sleazy Cyberpunk planet. What I found was a clown show. There is something hollow and sad about the entirety of Starfield's worldbuilding and lore, that I can't even bring myself to be mad about - I'm just disappointed. This doesn't feel like a universe comprised of competing factions and people, it feels like a bunch of empty mannequins shooting at each other over nothing. Everything feels so dumbed down and family friendly. All the edges filed off to make everything palatable and bland. It's sad.

The more i study the 1800s. The more i notice….Large gaps. Inconsistencies. More and more and more that doesn’t add up, explanations that don’t make sense. What happened in the 1800s that is being hidden from us? Why do our “masters” tear down everything from the “old world”???

Definitely gave bad guy vibes. How did he know exactly where they were, hmm? It's almost like 'Park Ranger' is in on the gig and the Wendigo is a released black box govt project and his demeanor is a cover for him being some secret operative. Which ties in nicely to how suspcious National Parks are in reality with all the strange disappearances, big foot, wendigos, werewolves, skinwalkers, etc. Aw hell, I better shut up now.
