Christian men's conferences: "You can be right, or you can be married." Christian women's conferences: "Your only flaw, is that you don't know how perfect you are!" What could go wrong? 👇

@FamilyCaptain_ Why I categorically reject gendered events. Y’all split Bible studies, conferences, books, damn near everything about religion by gender. You’ve got men and women in nearly separate churches at this point.

@FamilyCaptain_ Every women’s conference I’ve seen advertised is about “empowering women”. It’s no different to what the world teaches women about feminism.

@DDHusban They really are simple. The New Testament passages on marriage are on-the-nose.

@FamilyCaptain_ @RageRead Every Father’s Day sermon starts with: “I know many of you have been hurt by your dad, but you have a father in heaven that loves you.” Even on Mother’s Day, they cut down dads, “a dads job is 9-5, but a moms job is 24/7”.

@BASEDPLAYER0 Yes, churches often expect men to check their self-respect and masculinity at the door. But Jesus still has a remnant.

@FamilyCaptain_ Feminism took over churches ages ago. That's why they're so few men left.

@Adriana19Flower Such a shame, because the Scriptures are plain on this. New Testament passages on marriage don't make anyone walk away and say "I wonder what that means??"

@FamilyCaptain_ "Men are taught how to treat women, but not what to expect from women. Women are taught what to expect from men, but not how to treat men." Churches are adopted this weak and pathetic mindset that does nothing but create entitled and delusional women and emasculated men.

Husband: "Babe just tell me exactly what you want me to do." That phrase kills polarity in marriage. It makes her the leader, and it makes you submissive. It shames her feminine expression. Over time, she hardens. If you want her to soften again, it will take time. It will require your consistent covering. It will require you to become a different man.

@privateeyeruss It makes sense that a wife would want her husband in church. A husband is the head of the wife, and she's right to want her head submitted to the Head of all: the Lord Jesus Christ.

@Gnossienne11 No. It's what's come as a result of disobeying the Bible and not focusing on the commands that are plain to men and women.

The weak are bad and the strong are good (pre-Christian) -> The weak deserve empathy from the strong. -> The weak are oppressed by the strong. -> The weak are saints and the strong are wicked. (Christian) Woman good man bad.

I’ve been to a ton of women’s conferences not one has conveyed this message. They do however over emphasize being content. I feel like every message is just another variation of “you are doing enough” What if I’m not? What if I watch American idol all day while my kids eat hot pockets?

@midwestgoonie Man, thanks for sharing, I'm sorry to hear that. Thankfully, God is still good, and Jesus still really loves you.

Church camp was the same. The boys got the “you have sinful lustful thoughts, you’re dirty and should control yourselves.” And the girls got “you’re a beautiful innocent angel and should know how to shut down the nasty boys.” Did wonders for myself esteem and eventually contributed to the reasons why I stopped believing in a god.
