After 13 years on earth, the Space Rat was called back to the mothership. We had a good run Barkley. 😭

The Mid-Atlantic Championship Podcast
May 3, 1986: The Midnight Express have issued an open challenge to anyone, except most of the actual tag teams in JCP. Thankfully two guys were in the parking lot looking for work. Ever hear of em? It's Frank & Jesse James. Here's Jim Cornette's promo and the start of the match.

@BrianRSolomon I have spent a lot of time in Knoxville, Tn and if you mention wrestling to anyone, the first names that comes up are Ron and Don Wright and Whitey Caldwell.

Something that helped me comprehend how big of a deal wrestling stars of the distant past were, despite their names having faded over time, was speaking with people born in the early 20th century. These people were not even wrestling fans, but it was amazing who they remembered.

@BrianRSolomon I first saw it in the same magazine, actually that issue of The Wrestler was my introduction to The Sheik, John Tolos, and Victor Rivera, guys who I immediately became fascinated with!

First saw this picture in the 25th anniversary issue of The Wrestler in 1991 (later learned it was taken by the legendary Theo Ehret). It definitely stayed with me as a kid, as I assumed wrestling “wasn’t real”, and this certainly gave me pause!

This is one of the more well-known images from the era. Referee Johnny "Red Shoes" Dugan from the Los Angeles territory displays his "burn" after catching a fireball from the Sheik. The wound is very real, as he scraped the skin off his face with a towel and sandpaper.

Can’t believe that after the phenomenal turnaround the @DetroitPistons pulled off in the last 3 seasons, they’re about to piss it all away to a #8 seed.

@georgepereznet It’s been my experience that a publishers mark on a graphic novel is a small red or black ink line across the top of the book pages It shouldn’t have any actual affect on the book itself

I've started to notice more used DC Finest, as I am looking for cheap ways to build my library. Some indicating that they are publisher mark. Some as low as $10. What I want to know is that are the covers torn off or marked in some way to damage the books? amzn.to/41Wfdrm

@comicbookaddt As much as people love Swamp Thing 21, I believe that issue 28 (The Burial) is a far superior issue and THE all-timer
