@Sachinettiyil Oh man. Did he seriously say that? A Catholic and former Senator of our state does not know that the first Catholic Mass said in the U.S. was on PENSACOLA BRACH in 1559!!!! NOT ST. AUGUSTINE.

@moxiewood420 @MattWalshBlog @Ambs96 You are entitled to your opinion and I am entitled to mine. I am not arguing that the man is not horrible and evil. But I will argue that the death penalty is not justice and that by killing him society lowers itself to his level. My opinion. Bless your heart. BYH.

@Farmpodcaster @MattWalshBlog @Ambs96 No thats not what he said. This man brutally assaulted kidnapped and murdered a beautiful little girl. The jury listened to the recording of the whole thing. As he was murdering her he screamed "Why wont you die already?!?". He has no soul. Texas did their job yesterday. GFYS

I am challenging any death penalty opponent — there are millions of them, allegedly — to step up to the plate right now and explain why this guy should not be executed. His guilt is established beyond any doubt whatsoever. His crime is utterly savage and heinous. Tell us why he doesn’t deserve to die. Go ahead.

@Texas__Bulldog @MattWalshBlog @Ambs96 my opinion is worth just as much as yours. He expressed a "strong desire" - didn't have to say it. By "for any reason" I meant whether your reason is for good intentions (revenge or "justice") or bad. You don't need to twist my words to disagree. You do you.

@TheEXECUTlONER_ No no no. The absolute best way is cold GLASS. Ice cold bottles from a cooler are ideal but the easiest is cold Coke from the refrigerator poured into iced glasses from the freezer. The best.

This woman swears there is only two ways to drink Diet Coke. She says the first way is to drink it from a can, but the can has to be crispy cold. Then the only other acceptable way is a fountain drink and she says McDonald’s is King of the Diet Coke fountain drink. She said 20 ounce plastic bottles just aren’t the same. Crispy can or McDonald’s, only way to have Diet Coke. (Or a Big Gulp from 7/11 will suffice.) Some said they would wait in the longest line at McDonald’s just to get a Diet Coke. I know someone who is exactly like this but I never knew this was a universal thing.😂 Others said “Never the plastic bottles! Never!” 😳 Is this a thing? Is she right? Is this how all the Diet Coke drinkers prefer their drink?

@OccupyDemocrats I’ve been on Lexapro for 20 years. The doctor attitude is “well as long as it’s working then you shouldn’t get off of them.” I don’t think antidepressants were ever meant to be forever drugs but here we are.

BREAKING: RFK Jr. sparks OUTRAGE after targeting these medications that many Americans depend on daily. The man who claims antidepressants cause school shootings and are "more addictive than heroin" — claims that are directly contradicted by decades of medical evidence — is now the Secretary of Health and Human Services, launching a federal initiative to reduce antidepressant prescriptions across America. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. unveiled his "deprescribing" initiative Monday at a Make America Healthy Again summit, announcing that HHS will take "clear and decisive action" to confront mental health "overmedication," especially among children. The department sent a letter to healthcare providers encouraging them to reduce psychiatric medication use and promote alternatives like diet, physical activity, and social connection. Let's be clear about what's actually happening here. Nearly 17 percent of American adults currently take antidepressants. These are people whose doctors — actual licensed physicians — determined that medication was clinically appropriate for their conditions. RFK Jr., a man with no medical degree who once carved a penis out of a dead raccoon and wrote about it in his diary, has decided the federal government should now be nudging those doctors toward prescribing less. The American Psychiatric Association — representing 40,000 physicians — pushed back immediately and directly. The mental health crisis, they said, is not a problem of overprescribing. It is a problem of access. "Too many patients cannot access timely, comprehensive care, while care remains unevenly distributed across our health system." Workforce shortages. Limited psychiatric beds. Barriers to access. These are the real problems. "Deprescribing alone is not a sufficient response to this crisis," the APA said. "The solution is not to stigmatize psychiatric medication or impose broad assumptions on clinical care." There's a savage irony buried in all of this. The Trump administration has been gutting Medicaid — the primary insurance coverage for millions of Americans who access mental health services. It has cut funding for mental health programs. It has reduced the healthcare workforce through federal layoffs. Having created more barriers to mental health care, RFK Jr. is now launching an initiative suggesting the problem is that people are getting too much of it. Kennedy said he's "not telling anyone to stop" their medication. He's just making sure the federal government is actively pushing the system in that direction. For millions of Americans managing depression, anxiety, and other conditions, their medication isn't overuse. It's survival. Please like and share this post if you think the quickest way RFK Jr. could improve our nation’s mental health and alleviate depression would be to resign and take the rest of the Trump administration with him.

@MLJHaynes I really don’t like seeing that. The Pope is not a celebrity or a politician to have a gaggle on the street. I don’t recall seeing that optic even with Francis. It’s weird and unseemly to the office.

NEW: Pope Leo's brief comments to the press this evening -- “I have already spoken from the first moment ‘peace be with you.’ The mission of the Church is to preach the Gospel, to preach peace. If anyone wants to criticize me for proclaiming the Gospel, let them do so truthfully. The Church has spoken out against all nuclear weapons for years, so there is no doubt about that”

Something interesting happened today at Mass. In my parish, every first Saturday of the month is when infant baptism takes place. Today, we had two beautiful baby boys who were baptised. Now, the names the parents chose for the children were not the names of saints or were the names found in the Bible. I think one was named "Divine" and the other "Miracle" or thereabout. Our priest had to change their names to "James" and "Leo." Our priest also had to plead with the rest of us that it is important to give children names that are found in the Bible or names of Saints because the saints usually serve as a role model to the children and also the saints are invoked during the Litany of saints during baptism. I thought it was interesting because it was the first time I had to see a priest give babies a different name from what the parents named them and to be honest, I prefer their new names...especially "Leo" for obvious reasons 😆. Praise be to God for the new intake into the Catholic Church we had today 🎊 🎉. Have your priest ever rejected the name given to your child or someone's child that you know and named the child an even better name??

@UcheMaryOkoli No priest can try that nonsense with me. Its mostly Nigerian priests that try to enforce this nonsense. I named and baptized my daughter with the name "Chelsea" and no priest has the right to change the name I gave my child. Na Pope go separate me and that priest.

NEW LONG FORM VIDEO: Why people are starting to hate Disney World So I’m 51 now, and one of the things I remember vividly from my childhood is watching big sporting events like the Super Bowl or the World Series. At the end of the game, the winning players would be celebrating, getting interviewed, and they’d always be asked the same question: What are you going to do next? And the answer was almost always the same: I’m going to Disney World. But fast forward 30 years, and you don’t hear that anymore. In fact, the conversation has shifted in the opposite direction. Today, YouTube and social media are filled with people criticizing Disney’s parks, whether in California or Florida. When I was a kid, going to a Disney park was a rite of passage. My parents once drove us across six states just so we could spend spring break there. Now, for many families, the parks feel like an afterthought. And it turns out this shift isn’t an accident. It’s the result of deliberate strategy, changing economics, and some unusual decisions inside the Disney corporation. This is the story behind the rise and fall of Disney World.

Either you will depend on your own children in your old age, or you will depend on the children of others. No other options. There is no such thing as “not being a burden” when you grow old. You will be a burden to someone. Some couples cannot have children, which is a tragedy, but to make it a deliberate choice is shortsighted and selfish. All of those nurses who will take care of you? Someone else’s children. The people who prepare your meals and clean your room? Someone else’s children. The entertainment you watch as you slowly drift away? Created by someone else’s children. The funding of your pension and social benefits? Provided by someone else’s children. The entire infrastructure that supports your existence? Maintained by someone else’s children.

The laity should STOP policing the laity at church. ✅Want to bow at the celebrant in procession? Whatever. ✅Want to sit or kneel during Epistle? Whatever. ✅Want to use orans hands during prayer? Whatever. ✅Want to pray the Rosary after Communion? Whatever. ✅Want to shake hands or not shake hands? Whatever. It's like being on a dance floor and thinking “Wow! That other couple over there doesn't know how to waltz properly. I should go over there and tell them they are doing it all wrong!” Laymen should be laymen. We are NOT governed by sacerdotal rubrics.
