@CallMeMoprah Honestly, since I have left the classroom. There are things that have never cross my mind. Guilt about taking time off for any reason being one of them. His perspective is both unrealistic and unhealthy.

I already replied once, and don’t want to give him more engagement than that, but I want to point out that he is a superintendent. I can only imagine the eggshells the educators walk on in his district.

@nj_maire I have personally popped in on my classes when they had a sub and things immediately change as I walk through the door. The respect they have for me does not automatically extend to a sub. My relationship with students affords me respect not my title.

Baltimore is not Shanghai but no harm in imagining what a pedestrian mall might do for a city. Have multi lane streets in downtown Baltimore ( Pratt and Lombard ) really done anything to grow the city?
