@Mike_M_Klotz Well they'd either need to bring back Plymouth (which ain't going to happen) or throw Dodge a few bones (which they've tried before) to cover that segment w/o touching Chrysler.....

We’re about to reach levels of unreliability previously unheard of
Stellantis@Stellantis

#Stellantis and Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) have signed a MOU to explore collaboration opportunities in product development in the U.S. By combining complementary strengths across product & technology development, we will create new synergies and deliver value for both organizations.

I remember gawking at the CLS550 as a kid because it seemed like nothing else on the road. It looked like a starship next to a Camry. Really sad to see what they’ve become.

As a longtime automotive technician, I have noticed through the years that almost every time manufacturers come up with new and improved it ends up costing the car owner more money. Here is one example. A simple thermostat, which served us fine for years has now been replaced with a water control valve that is actuated by the car’s computer. So we went from a part that cost around $15 to one that now is $250 and up.

DCSO - Omaha, NE@DCSheriffNE

The DCSO responded to a property damage accident earlier this afternoon at the intersection of 204th and Harrison. We are extremely grateful that the @NEStatePatrol Trooper and K9 are uninjured. Accidents like this are completely avoidable and highlight the importance of following all traffic laws. Slow down, stay alert, avoid distractions, yield the right of way, and follow all traffic laws, especially when emergency vehicles are approaching. A moment of caution can save lives.

Listen, Buddy. The front of my house is not additional parking for your multigenerational household’s 10 cars.

@Mike_M_Klotz To be fair - the same could be said for most crossovers (my CR-V, while competent, is the automotive equivalent of dilaudid 😂)

This is the single most uninspiring vehicle I’ve ever driven. It’s the automotive equivalent of the Family Guy vacation in purgatory. I’ve had it for less than 24 hours and I’m already apathetic about the joy of driving. It’s a perfectly adequate appliance, but it inspires the same level of excitement as you get buying a new washing machine. New and cool the day you buy it, but after the first week of use you never give it a second thought.

This is 100% my point. Cars peaked 15 years ago. Nothing but overly complex sensor hogs that only dealerships can fix.
Chez_Bazaldo@Chez_Bazald0

@B__Daily Are the bells and whistles really a gain when the vehicles can barely make it 100k without major repairs? Repairs that now have to be done at the dealership for thousands of dollar instead of a local mechanic that you trust or being able to fix it yourself.
