@staysure ... this is exactly the point. If I am riding my mountain bike (which is my bike type) on the road then I am not mountain cycling, but I am also not covered by your policy. It should be the activity type and not the bicycle I am riding that is the risk!

@staysure cycling Vs mountain biking policy is very unclear as to activity Vs bike. It seems riding a mountain bike on a road is not covered for liability but riding a road bike on a mountain bike trail would be. Because they use the type of bike not the activity as the definer.

Curious as to whether there has ever been such a huge change of temperature in such a short period of time in the UK? Probably lots of times, but I was truly shocked today cycling to work as to how warm it was, and I don’t normally think about it. @theiaincameron @bbcweather

@FatBikeFarm I did the divide with two pedals in Sept last year and it almost killed me... so in a cold December with one pedal? That's crazy stuff but well done!!

So there we have it. It is confirmed that Scotland is snow-free yet again. The last patch, the Sphinx, disappeared sometime in the last 24 hours. The Sphinx has now vanished four times in the last six years, having done so only five times in the last 300 years. (1/2)

Inspiration for the week. The gravel track towards Callander after cranking up Glen Artney #singlespeed. Such an amazing route, 3 days in the saddle to ride 370km between 3 hostels, from Inverness over Invergarry & Lochearnhead to Glasgow. Thanks to @ScottishHostels - words soon!

@29Crown A few around Melgarve at dawn, none at Chiarain. None in the hills or glens in the day (nice breeze). Saw a tent near Kingshouse with a swarm outside but overall great!
