@newstart_2024 who would've thought that nuking your DHT systematically as a male could come with consequences... if you're someone that thinks DHT isn't needed as a male, you dont understand hormones.

Young men are quietly having their lives ruined by a common hair loss drug. Andrew Huberman just opened up about hearing from more and more guys suffering from post-finasteride syndrome — devastating sexual dysfunction, psychological issues, and symptoms that feel permanent. The mainstream medical community often calls it “nonsense,” but Huberman says it’s cratering lives and desperately needs more honest discussion. He even mentioned a Florida physician he’s thinking of bringing on the podcast to talk about it. It’s heartbreaking to hear how something prescribed so casually can completely derail a young man’s future. Have you or someone you know been affected by this? Or is this the first you’re hearing about post-finasteride syndrome?

@HopeDeferred3 @JoeyRiz @Charlie4Change A lot of these new age data centers are moving to closed loop systems with ACC’s. The initial flush and fill still uses up water but the efficiency gained from non evaporative cooling is helping. Energy costs 100% valid though

@JoeyRiz @Charlie4Change In 2023 data centers used 17.4 billions of drinkable water which can never be cleaned and used for drinking again. That’s the collective of 580,000 households that Americans could use. It also spikes the energy cost of nearby residents.

@rushicrypto Data centers should have to be 100% self sustaining sealed loop systems. But physics says over time coolant becomes contained. So the real question is about the purification and recycling of the coolant. In this case water.

It’s been months and I’m still trying to figure out why AI data centers need fresh water. Not used water. Not recycled water. Fresh water???

@cellblock73 @LegitM88 @hzapperz @____selah Most of the data centers around me (NOVA) use air cooled chillers from what I’ve seen. Im working on two rn but they aren’t huge, 72MW and 48 MW respectively

DHT is only virilisng (androgenic) in very specific ways and during specific windows of time, namely during puberty, and namely for the development of sexual organs After puberty DHT plays 0 other role in the body outside of making you bald and giving you prostate hyperplasia that can turn into a cancerous tumour DHT is 10x more androgenic than regular free T, yes, but our androgen receptors have a very weak affinity for them. It’s nowhere near as anabolic as free T, it doesn’t help build muscle, and it’s not virilising due to its already weak receptor uptake Cutting DHT sensitivity is not emasculating in any conceivable way
