ONE OF THE BEST BIRTHDAY GIFTS EVER!! I’ve been streaming on Twitch for 9 years now, since I was just a teenager in high school and for the longest time I averaged only 5–10 viewers. There were moments when it felt like things might never grow beyond that, but I kept going because my goal was always simple, to make people laugh and create moments that others could enjoy and remember. Today, I’m honestly at a loss for words. The love and support I’ve been receiving lately means more to me than I can truly express. This journey hasn’t been easy, but every single one of you who stopped by, stayed, chatted, or supported in any way made this possible. I didn’t do this alone, you guys did that. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for believing in me and continuing to support me. I appreciate every single one of you more than you know. Love you all 💚

Long Rant: Riot Games // Competitive Videogames.
As a longtime fan of Riot Games and competitive integrity, seeing the current state of the ranked ladders of both League of Legends AND Valorant genuinely makes me kinda sad lol.
For the past 5 years, the quality of competitive gaming has been on a perpetual nosedive. Excessive monetization, microtransactions, and fully catering towards the hyper-casual playerbase has taken a devastating toll across the table.
We've seen the soul of videogames stripped away, and the void it left behind has been replaced with patchnotes exclusively filled with skins, gacha gambling, and a bunch of other random garbage microtransaction slop.
We've seen patents for sophisticated matchmaking algorithms to literally just rig the ranked queue to trap you in a dopamine feedback loop so you keep queueing and buying skins. We've also seen mainstream games where these algorithms were almost definitely implemented. Looking at you, Marvel Rivals!
We've seen crossplay FPS literally cease to work anymore because aim assist has evolved into straight up soft-aim, all to make Little Timmy feel good about himself when he melts Shroud on Warzone with 100% accuracy. Maybe after he does, he'll steal Mom's card and buy a skin or two!
But you know what? All throughout the decay, I would always preach to my friends, to my followers, to basically anybody that would listen: Riot Games is doing it differently. They're doing it right.
Amidst the trash and the hollow shells of former greatness, Riot Games and their ranked ladders stood alone as the final bastion of competitive integrity.
Now? I don't know if I can say that anymore. Let's look at League of Legends! The Challenger cutoff is closing in on 2,000 LP, a number that used to be inconceivable.
Tens of thousands of players flooding into Master tier, a rank that used to mean something to anybody that made it past the tutorial of the game.
And our response? You're all wrong! This looks fine! Hopefully we see someone hit 4,000 LP!
What the fuck?
Then I turn around and I look at VALORANT, a competitive videogame that is almost on year 6 without ranked rewards.
6 years, no ranked rewards.
A community that's COMPLETELY given up on the game. Seriously, across every single game I've ever played, I have never seen a more jaded, given up playerbase.
And why wouldn't they be jaded? What's the point? Why would you endlessly grind a dwindling ranked ladder with literally no light at the end of the tunnel?
You add in the fact that steadily, more and more players give up and launch the game out of habit alone, and the game slowly becomes borderline unplayable if you have ANY passion or desire to win and rank up.
Now, what's the solution to this problem?
Lower the threshhold to hit Radiant. Maybe if we make the ranked ladder LOOK full, people will stop quitting!
WHAT THE FUCK???
I really don't know. I'd love to see some sort of miraculous turn-around where they save both games and their ranked ladders. But I'm not so sure a miracle is coming.
If it doesn't, Deadlock will be our saving grace.

@AniTVOfficial incoming cope from op anime fans that watched useless non canon material
English

@AniTVOfficial From 1200 episodes to 150 episodes, can we expect this? 😂
English

add more ranked incentives for players to grind Radiant so the ladder fills up?
nah let’s lower the ladder so Radiant means less and create an illusion that NA ranked isn’t crumbling at higher elos

@flexinja @westjett1 Just like you believed in him, many people believe in you. Self doubt is a hard battle and when he was down he was dealing with it too I’m sure. But he never gave up. And as long as you don’t either, I can confidently say you’ll find your place again 🙏🏼

@westjett1 since the Fortnite days i’ve always believed in Ronaldo even when he was down, he’s an entertainer.

i’m 13k in credit card debt, owe a friend 7k, and super behind on taxes
when i first blew up in Valorant over 5 years ago, i went all in with no back up plan and now life is kicking my ass
i set myself up for success, establishing my name making pretty decent money
but now i’m struggling due to lack of passion to create content, figuring out how to rejoin society, and feeling so far behind that i often don’t feel human
in Valorant terms it’s like blowing a 12-0 lead and then losing in overtime, shit was going smooth and then we fucked up big
the hardest lesson i’ve learned about being a streamer/content creator, you have to stay super consistent. take time off and you’ll destroy your numbers
before Valorant: i created content as a hobby while working at FedEx with no idea what i wanted to do with my life
during the height of my success, i never had a good grasp of what money means since i don’t come from money or how to manage it
i was also a very inexperienced 24 year old, never touched alcohol/weed, and was nervous navigating the airport for the first time having never been on a flight
then one weekend, i decided that i was doing well in life with my newfound hype online so i took my first flight and fell in love with the feeling of drinking/smoking
as you can imagine, i spiraled out of control. lost my consistency when it came to streaming and creating content. overall my mood was destroyed slowly
along with getting drunk and high a ton, i fell into the ubereats death trap where i didn’t cook any of my meals for 3 years or so which is disgusting to say
but hey, you only spawn once on this rock and not everyone is brought up to have all the right answers
i’m happy to say i cook 99% of my meals now and eat super clean/boring now as my priority revolves around gym progress
i’m 30 now and still have no idea what i’m doing with my life, but i’m sure if i remain positive i will eventually figure something that makes me excited to wake up
having zero passion for Valorant being known as a Valorant creator kills me inside. i’m the least happiest version of myself trying to grind the same content for 5 years in a row. and it really reflects my mood on stream. this is also a really shitty part about streaming is putting yourself in a box fulfilling one niche
—
my biggest advice if you jumping into the streamer / content creation life, if you find your niche and you’re gaining hype please hold on to it and ride with it and don’t try living above your means ($$)
but my BEST advice (something that i didn’t do) is to have a backup plan that will give you stability if things don’t work out — i never had one and still don’t yet
a third piece of advice never hurts: burn out really fucking sucks. so if you find any success online doing one thing, try to add some variety eventually so you don’t put yourself in a one-niche box
unless you absolutely love what you do online and can visualize how passionate you will be after years down the line
—
going broke after being financially well off has been one of my greatest lessons i’ll ever get to experience — i really know the value of money now when it comes to paying bills, grocery shopping, and living a more inexpensive lifestyle
so the next time i’m up in life, i’ll be more prepared to spend properly and invest
you can use this post to make fun of me, but i want to be transparent because people just assume you’re well off if you have a decent sized following — nah, not if you’re dumb as fuck like me 😂
hope this post can help someone in the future not make the same mistakes i did
much love y’all, i got some work to do 🫡

@GamerLXXXVI @JakeSucky Can’t tell if you’re rage baiting or just stupid
English

@JakeSucky Why is flexing money in front of people acceptable?
There’s people who can’t afford more than 1 meal per day to be doing this.
Do this on your own private time.
