@MattJennings337 Lowestoft to Great Yarmouth as a preserved steam tourist line. (But not over the water as that would be too costly.) As a proper main line Kings Lynn to Hunstanton and Shanklin to Ventnor are two obvious ones.

A question to start your week: If you could re opened any line that was closed years ago what would you re open? This could be something that was shut down permanently A route that was cut back to its current destination Or a route that was planned but was never built

@DI313_ And that idiot Milliband wants to restrict wood burning stoves when these push out more pollution than all the stoves put together.

⚡🇬🇧UK skies just got hit with pure fire! Two B-52 Stratofortress monsters, armed with cruise missiles under their wings, stormed the skies from the UK, belching thick black smoke on takeoff while B-1 Lancers keep flexing from RAF Fairford. Are we witnessing a new level of air dominance, or is someone pushing boundaries too far? Eyes open.

When I was young, my great aunt had a railway line at the end of her garden similar to this one. I was always very envious 🙂

Travelled quite a bit by rail over the last 72 hours - when did our railway become so negative in terms of announcements? All I’ve heard is tons of messages about everything I can’t or shouldn’t do or shouty human announcements barking orders at customers. We’ve got to get better

Local news @BBCLookEast just referred to off grid oil. If any household has on grid oil that would be quite something

@TashP351 Why can't you just go and open your own fish and chip shop. You are clearly a successful business person with cash to invest. Off you go then.

Why can’t fish & chip shops stay open past 7pm??? Or open on a Sunday??? As a nation, why do we just accept this??? IT’S BULLSHIT.

NHS hospital: I noticed the clock on the wall showed the wrong time. A nurse told me they knew, but they wouldn’t report it because replacing the battery through the NHS would cost £70. A £2 battery... £70. How? Why? That's when I began to dig further. 🧵

Looking for a way to cut down on bread? Simple. Just make sure your Significant Other buys sourdough. Chewing gum with holes. You'll never bother with bread again. #fashion #fad #emperorsnewclothes

Surely the rule is: If you sit next to someone on a train because it's busy, when the carriage empties out, you don't stay sat next to them like you're two pensioners on a day trip, you move. Right?

This 1960s video of Bourton-on-the-Water, known as the "Venice of the Cotswolds," which is a popular Gloucestershire village, shows how content both people and wildlife were before the age of hypermodernity. ♥️⏳️

I’m on a (far from empty) train and a bloke has just made a payment over the phone. Full name, long card number, expiry, CVV all announced to the carriage. Baffling.
