People who say this sort of thing generally have zero understanding of nature. Life for wild animals is harsh, brutal and often short. They do not understand human concepts like "freedom".
@FabulousWeird This is a weedy seadragon. Same family as seahorses, but different animals. The projections on the body are for camouflage, precisely because they DO have predators to hide from.
