@DrJenGunter Disney Pixar is a fallback, especially if I don’t want stress. Comedies are often safe. But when I’ve picked things I wanted to see, but missed on first release, I’ve found myself blubbering in my seat when I wasn’t necessarily expecting it. (Everything, Everywhere, All at Once)

It is a tragedy that United got rid of my comfort movie, Pride and Prejudice. I watched my other airplane comfort movie, Crazy Rich Asians on the outbound leg. Maybe I should do Devil wears Prada? What is your airplane comfort movie?

The women that go to their doctor for excessive menstrual bleeding are told their flow is normal and they’re over exaggerating. Then later the fainting problems and weight loss - only to be told it’s anxiety, take a pill. When that didn’t help but seems to make it worse they’re told to quit whining and take an antidepressant because life isn’t that bad. Fuck the medical system. Fuck the gaslighting.

@HoegLaw It annoys me that modern political wings try to claim they represent the philosophy of an individual who was a product of his time and particular circumstances. Poor Tolkien would likely be bemused at bizarre world we live in…the cheese has slid off the cracker for Left & Right.

My favorite bit of this 'explainer' is in describing the hobbits as having 'peaceful bourgeois lives'. I tend to agree that the political class co-opts culture in odd, mistaken ways all the time. Pity that the journalist class is arguably worse.

@IanRunkle They may offer personal training for a few sessions to get you started off. Personally, I joined Orange Theory because it’s coaching-based and I need to be told and shown what to do, as well as am motivated by numbers/feedback. I don’t inherently love exercise, but do it as duty.

@IanRunkle I’m so sorry! I hope she is ok. The ER on a Friday night is definitely not a place anyone wants to be. Though the people watching might be quite the experience. But when worried about a loved one, it’s hard to really find diversion in human absurdity. Best wishes.

@IanRunkle I’m glad you are motivated, but don’t feel that running/jogging is the only way to go…with your back, high impact exercise might hurt more than help. Nothing wrong with brisk walking, biking or swimming. I exercise ‘cause I know it’s good for me, but I don’t necessarily enjoy it

I’ve never asked for this on my page for me but can you all please say a prayer for Eli? He was born 7lbs 15 oz and 21”. But he has been swimming in meconium for the past two days and is struggling with breathing. I have faith in collective prayers 🙏🙏🙏 please pray for my baby.
