PRESCRIBED FIRE UPDATE 🔥 Santa Fe National Forest fire crews completed 85 acres of the Horseshoe pile burn, located adjacent to the community of Horseshoe Springs near La Cueva and north of the village of Jemez Springs. No ignitions are planned tomorrow, but SFNF Fire Management will look for opportunities to continue this project. This decision is based on multiple factors, including snowpack, air quality, ventilation, forecast weather and wind, and resource availability. After ignitions are complete, fire crews will shift to patrolling and monitoring burn units in accordance with the burn plan.
