When it was put to a referendum only 3 people voted not to remain a British territory, 1513 people voted yes.
Meanwhile the Argentine position is that they inherited the 200 year old claims of the Spanish empire and are entitled to a territory that never once belonged to them.

There already is a peaceful solution: the Falklands remain a British overseas territory, given the majority of people living there are British. Argentina has never had any solid control over the islands.

En algunos entornos muuuy puntuales de lugares muuy específicos del debate occidental se empieza a correr la voz de 3 perspectivas: 1) Las Malvinas deberían ser argentinas 2) Las Malvinas serán argentinas 3) Las Malvinas no pueden seguir en la situación colonial actual. El SIMPLE hecho de que en POCOS lugares se esté replanteando el statu quo de la ocupación británica de Malvinas NO es suficiente, pero es MUCHO MÁS que lo que logró el kirchnerismo con 20 años de berrinche. If Argentina were to ever attack the Falklands, we should meet them with FIRE AND FURY the likes of which they have never seen!
I wouldn’t stop until EVERY piece of military hardware they possess, both around the Falklands and in ARGENTINA ITSELF was little more than a twisted pile of scrap metal!
