Every ~2 years there's actually also a leap second so at 8PM (in Kentucky, 'cause it happens on UTC time) on December 31st you go from 19:59:59 -> 19:59:60 -> 20:00:00

@jtregunna @ColinEHunter @ChadNotChud If a whole ass continent their government did something that conveniences 90% of the population (and let's be honest, it's >99%) and a fraction of whatever cable nerd niche you're in, the government got a rare W.

USB-C works fine for high 90% of folks. Doesn't change that it's a clusterfuck of capabilities, and often times, manufacturers lie about what their cables support, not meeting specs. Even those cables usually still charge at slow voltages (5V) so nobody notices...but the package might have had 60W label on it or something. That's the clusterfuck.

@OutbackCrossed @Agent_Jerry_ @durreadan01 No, not always. Before you even start some connection types need USB-C USB-C bidirectional cables. Not so. Some cables also charge faster than others. Some cables don't have power transfer, others don't have data transfer. Other's aren't even USB-C compliant.

Thanks to EU for mandating type C, we have no chances of ever getting anything like this. 💀
