We see stunning, healthy #OchreStar populations on our 4 day kayak of the #SanJuanIslands with #SanJuanKayakExpeditions. Its been a long recovery for ochre star in the face of a continuing #seastarwasting epidemic (from 2013). There were maybe a hundred stars under this boulder.

We were honored to be able to assist with this unique case! While middle-of-the-night work is not ideal, we're glad it meant that this animal was able to find his way through the channel back to the harbor.
