@Alefiafriday22 @PeterObi Tinubu will win 2027 no doubt with 15 to 17 states. But Obi will come second with 11 to 13 states. While Atiku will be third with 7 states majorly in the North.

Peter Obi just decamped from ADC and I am highly disappointed I am disappointed that Mr Peter Obi just left ADC with immediate Effect following his recent resignation on Twitter (X) From APGA to PDP, PDP to Labour Party to ADC, next party unknown. Why is Peter Obi always running away yet he want to solve problems in Nigeria as a President . This is not right and I am highly disappointed

Fellow Nigerians, good morning. I woke up this morning after my church service with a deeply reflective heart, and despite every constraint, I felt compelled to share these thoughts with you. Many people do not truly understand the silent pains some of us carry daily—the private struggles, emotional burdens, and quiet battles we face while trying to survive and serve sincerely in difficult circumstances. We now live in an environment that has become increasingly toxic, where the very system that should protect and create opportunities for decent living often works against the people—a society where intimidation, insecurity, endless scrutiny, and discouragement have become normal. More painful is when some of those you associate with, believing you would find understanding and solidarity among them, become part of the pressure you face. Some who publicly identify with you privately distance themselves or join in unfair criticism. We live in a society where humility is mistaken for weakness, respect is seen as a lack of courage, and compassion is treated as foolishness—a system where treating people equally is questioned simply because you refuse to worship status, tribe, class, or power. Personally, I have never looked down on anyone except to uplift them. I have never used privilege, position, or resources to oppress others, intimidate the weak, or make people feel small. To me, leadership has always been about service, sacrifice, and helping others rise. Let me state clearly: my decision to leave the ADC is not because our highly respected Chairman, Senator David Mark, treated me badly, nor because my leader and elder brother, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, or any other respected leaders did anything personally wrong to me. I will continue to respect them. However, the same Nigerian state and its agents that created unnecessary crises and hostility within the Labour Party that forced me to leave now appear to be finding their way into the ADC, with endless court cases, internal battles, suspicion, and division, instead of focusing on deeper national problems and playing politics built more on control and exclusion than on service and nation-building. Even within spaces where one labours sincerely, one is sometimes treated like an outsider in one’s own home. You and your team become easy targets for every failure, frustration, or misunderstanding, as though honest contribution has become a favour being tolerated rather than appreciated. And when you choose to leave so that those you are leaving can have peace, and you step out into the cold, you are still maligned and your character is questioned. Despite all your efforts to continue working for a better Nigeria and engaging people with sincerity and goodwill, those who do not wish you well continue to attack your character and question your intentions. There are moments I ask God in prayer: Why is doing the right thing often misconstrued as wrongdoing in our country? Why is integrity not valued? Why is the prudent management of resources, especially when invested in critical areas like education and healthcare, wrongly labelled as stinginess? Why are humility and obedience to the rule of law often taken to be weakness rather than discipline? Let me assure all that I am not desperate to be President, Vice President, or Senate President. I am desperate to see a society that can console a mother whose child has been kidnapped or killed while going to school or work. I am desperate to see a Nigeria where people will not live in IDP camps but in their homes. I am desperate for a country where Nigerian citizens do not go to bed hungry, not knowing where their next meal will come from. Yet, despite everything, I remain resolute. I firmly believe that Nigeria can still become a country with competent leadership based on justice, compassion, and equal opportunity for all. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

@PeterObi Many of the major players in ADC play politics of domination. Rather than engage properly with the members of ADC, you and your group decided to dominate them. This is the Crux of the issue. Rather than calling for protest. Negotiate with aggrieved ADC members.

We, members and leaders of the ADC, and other well-meaning Nigerians, lovers of democracy, are saying that our democracy must not be killed. We say NO to a one-party system and for that today we’re calling out Nigerians who believe in unity, peace, and security of our country to join us as we defend democracy in our land. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

@vanderjoo @renoomokri Believe it. Abacha was very bad. There is no basis of comparing him to the present administration. Under Abacha Nnamdi Kanu would have been dead by now not in prison.

@renoomokri Was Abacha as bad as he was being painted? Abacha was not a narrow-minded bigot, he was not the type that would put someone in Sokoto prison and leave another as his campaign manager.

I Fought Abacha, and I Know That President Tinubu Is Certainly Not an Abacha! This is me in the attached photo, taken in 1998. I was being honoured by Bastiaan Korner, the then Dutch ambassador to Nigeria, for my role in fighting for democracy against the despotic and murderous Abacha military junta. The other gentleman is one of the most patriotic Nigerians alive. He is the current editor of Thisday Newspaper. Having fought that despicable regime, I will not sit idly by while persons like Farooq Kperogi and Dele Momodu make unjust and unfair comparisons between that government, if you can call the Abacha regime a government, and the Tinubu administration. Making accusations that the judiciary is "susceptible to political manipulation" without supporting them with facts, data, and statistics is unhelpful to democracy, undermines the trust Nigerians have in their government, and is itself anti-intellectual. I wonder why a man like Kperogi would say such. You shouldn't make such opinionated statements without backing them up, because that assertion is not only false but will also negatively affect Nigeria's FDI drive, as investors do not invest in countries without an independent judiciary. And for Mr Kperogi to say the President is "stealthily but systematically weakening all the political parties that could provide viable platforms for his opponents in 2027" is fallacious. Again, he, like Dele Momodu before him, offers no evidentiary backup for those strong words. But it is not just that. These gentlemen betray both a lack of grasp of party politics and history. Let me start with history. It is not President Tinubu who is systematically weakening opposition parties. No. The truth is that it is the character of his opponents that is ruining these parties. Some of these persons have a history of lacking the patience to build solid structures and of causing dissension, whether they go. For example, Peter Obi began his political career in the All Progressives Grand Alliance after he was picked up by Dim Emeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, whom he subsequently betrayed. While in APGA, Peter Obi, in a now-viral video, swore that he would never leave the party. Yet he did leave, but not before dividing that party. The chaos he caused was so deep-seated that he was cursed by the then Chairman of APGA, Victor Oye! Please fact-check me. Then he moved to the Peoples Democratic Party and also caused havoc in that organisation by insisting on contesting against his former principal. After splitting the PDP, he joined the Labour Party, which then split into two factions, each producing its own Chairman and NEC. When he had finished destroying the Labour Party as a viable alternative, he officially joined the African Democratic Congress on Wednesday, December 31, 2025. After just three weeks in the ADC, the official spokesman of that party publicly called the Obidient movement a "divisive" mob! And instead of adjusting their behaviour, today, the Obidient movement has released a statement attacking the ADC for calling them divisive! Now, if you have gone through four very different political parties and ended up with the same result of division, quarrels, and factionalism, the question you should ask yourself is this: Is it the parties that are the problem or Peter Obi? How can a man who has divided four political parties in a row unite Nigeria? And how can men like Kperogi and Momodu overlook this and blame the President for the failings of these parties? And then, they also ignore the historical fact that parties in Nigeria tend to splinter when elections are around the corner. This started right from independence and has continued into the Fourth Republic. For example, under our government (the Jonathan administration), when the All Progressives Congress was established on Wednesday, February 2013, an alternate All Progressives Congress was established by some persons.

@PeterObi Our real problem is not the political elites. They are part of the problem though but just a symptom of the real problem. Nigeria is intentionally engineered to progressively make every Nigerian poorer. Problem cannot be solved by a single individual collective effort required.

In our country today, hunger and poverty are not just distant statistics, they are the harsh reality that millions of our people face daily. Recently, the United Nations stated that about 34 million Nigerians will face acute food insecurity, and abour 63% of our population, which is about 133 million people, now live in multidimensional poverty. Inflation even with the suppressed statistics is nearly 30%, while unemployment and economic mismanagement have nearly wiped out our once vibrant middle class. Families who once lived stable lives are now slipping into poverty. But this is not just ordinary, it is as a result of incompetent leadership without capacity and compassion, who are not interested in putting the Nigerian people first in their actions. Other nations have faced similar challenges and turned their fortunes around through disciplined leadership, sound economic policies, and a total commitment from the leaders to invest in human development and pulling their people out of poverty. A recent example is what is happening in Argentina. In Argentina, over 52% of its population lived in poverty by early 2024 according to the World Bank, with millions of Argentines unable to meet basic needs. Inflation was above 200%, and economic confidence had collapsed. Yet, within two years, through decisive action to cut waste in governance and prioritize economic stability, the newly inaugurated president was able to cut down the poverty rate to 38.1% from 52% in just 2 years and extreme poverty fell to 8.2%, with inflation just around 2–3% monthly. As at 2025, the urban poverty had declined to 31.6%, lifting millions of people out of poverty. Investor confidence grew and the economy began to grow. The people now see real improvements in their daily lives. Both Argentina and the current Nigerian leadership assumed office in the same year, and this proves what I have always stated, that two years may not be enough to change a nation with a 100% turn around but it is more than enough to kickstart the transformation journey that will change the fortune of our dear country, with the people witnessing real and genuine change, but only if the leadership is honest, focused, and committed to the people. Nigeria can work. We can reduce hunger, and restore dignity to Nigerians. But this will not happen while corruption and criminality dominate our governance. Our nation requires leaders who will put the people first, manage resources prudently, and stand firm in rejecting corrupt practices. Nigeria will work, but only if we, as leaders, commit to tackling corruption, cutting the cost of governance, and focusing on critical areas of development like education, healthcare, and lifting the people out of poverty, just as other nations have done with remarkable results. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

@BOGbadams @abesvich There was no clear evidence that she was mourning her dad. Women are generally emotive. She could just be referring to one of her brothers who is a key member of the family and whom she relate with very well. The fact that she called him my baba does not mean the late president.

1. Why did Mrs. Buhari relocate to Dubai after the return of her husband from what was showcased as a prolonged and clearly complicated and traumatic medical sojourn in the UK? Surely, the priority of the devoted wife that she was prior to 2017 would have been the care of her convalescent husband? 2. Why did the Buhari children suddenly drop almost completely out of public visibility, whereas they were all over the place prior to 2017, sometimes with their father, sometimes not? Why did they avoid the "recovering" Buhari? 3. Why did Zahra Buhari post the attached post in her verified Instagram account on 31st December 2019? Could you interpret her words? I'll stop here for now.
