When I created Buttcoin in 2011 it was to highlight the comedy in Bitcoin and the whole concept of "Magic Internet Money". This was long before meme coins were even a thing. My little corners of the internet here on X/Twitter, on the blog and the subreddit laid the blueprints for all meme coins that exist today. In 2011, Bitcoin was something new and unknown, unchartered waters. You could have fun building a mining rig or trying to fork a new coin. It was the wild west. And that's the world that let Buttcoin do what it does best, memeify the whole space. Back then we were doing something organically that all meme coins do now: take something people are talking about, extract the exciting, and turn it into culture. The technology to turn memes into tokens didn't exist back then, it hadn't caught up to what we had already built 15 years ago. But now it does. $Buttcoin is the culmination of all that came before it, now tokenized.

$Buttcoin Community Update: 1) Going to do these every Friday from now on so everyone knows what’s happening behind the scenes. 2) Nothing new to report on the IP stuff, which is good. No rejections, no alterations, will update when I hear more. 3) Tried to sneak past a different ad in Times Square just to see, still denied. Exploring more IRL advertising. 4) Seeking outreach options with Asia crypto world to get the word out. Have a few contacts but if anyone has suggestions on who would be good to talk to please DM me. 5) Would like to build a way to reward everyone who is coming up with such great art and promo material with a little Buttcoin tokens or something. bros forgot how to dream if $lobstar was created during the 2024 ai szn it would be >$100m mcap in under a week unfortunately for us we are in a bear market, but I haven’t forgotten how to dream. Still believe this is a new primitive we are seeing rather than the usual ai agent posting slop maybe i’m wrong, maybe i’m early. guess we’ll see in a couple weeks
