I think a reason we find the Jimothy story so moving is that it goes against our sense of nature always being harsh and ruthless. In reality, even in the animal kingdom sometimes the deformed & disabled still find their way in the world, often with the help of family.

@MickCraftGaming Yeah expansions back then often fundamentally changed the game and made it into a new one. Campaigns, modes, characters, balancing and just all around improvements. It felt like the devs took what players would like to see and added it.

Back in my day, they were called expansion packs and they practically made it feel like a brand new game.
