A revealing chat with my fellow “anti-national Soros agents.” Vedant and his friends are brilliant, brave young Indians who asked CBSE and the Modi government simple questions - but got insults instead of answers. They deserve a bright and secure future. We will make sure they get it.

Massive hike in #petrol prices is a prime example of the failure of Congress-led UPA. This will put a burden of hundreds of crores on Guj.

Today I$rael tried to kill me in a targeted airstrike in southern Lebanon as I was reporting on was the targeting of bridges and the forced displacement of 1 million people, an ethnic cleansing operation on a larger scale than the Nakba I have absolutely no doubt that this was deliberate. Despite claims there were no warnings ahead of the strike and no notifications sent to the Lebanese Army who allowed us to film As we have seen in Gaza they want to silence journalists who document and report their war crimes It is the western powers who provide political and military support for I$rael, arming it to the teeth to carry out genocide in Gaza and ethnic cleansing here in Lebanon. They are not simply complicit, but active participants and should be held accountable for their actions. But if I$rael thinks today’s strike will silence us and keep us out of the field they are very, very mistaken

The Hidden Benefit of Staying in Dubai, March 2026 When tension rises in a region, something predictable happens. The headlines get louder, social media amplifies the worst possibilities, and suddenly normal life feels like it’s sitting on top of a fault line. Some people leave immediately. Others stay, watch carefully, and carry on with daily life. Neither reaction is unusual. Humans are wired to respond to uncertainty in different ways. But psychology research suggests something interesting happens to people who experience a perceived threat that ultimately passes without harm. Studies in cognitive psychology and stress research show the brain recalibrates its sense of danger after lived experience contradicts expectation. In simple terms, when the mind prepares for the worst and reality turns out to be manageable, the brain updates its internal “risk model.” Psychologists sometimes refer to this as a form of threat calibration or stress inoculation. The key factor is proximity to the experience. Reading about risk from far away tends to amplify fear. Living through the same moment locally often produces the opposite effect, because the brain can compare headlines with daily reality. During periods of regional tension, someone outside the area may imagine chaos. Someone inside the city might still see restaurants open, flights running, people at the gym, families going about normal routines. That contrast creates a powerful psychological lesson. The mind learns that perceived danger and experienced reality are not always the same thing. Research on resilience consistently finds that controlled exposure to stress can strengthen confidence in personal decision-making. When people navigate uncertainty and see it resolve, they often become calmer and more measured during future crises. Over time this produces a subtle shift in mindset. Instead of reacting immediately to every alarming signal, the brain draws on lived experience and asks a different question: Is this fear real, or is it amplified noise? So while the headlines will frame moments like this in terms of danger and disruption, psychology suggests another outcome may quietly emerge for those who stayed: perspective.

A few days ago, I got a call from a 9th standard boy in Palladam, Tiruppur district. He and his friends had created a comic and wanted us to publish it. I told him printing 2000 physical copies was expensive, but we could publish it digitally. Before continuing, I asked to speak with his parents. Next day his grandfather called, saying the family was fully aware. I was relieved. Soon after, I was on a conference call with all four creators: 2 artists 1 story and dialogue writer 1 story writer (the "front man") The front man, Pon Ashwin, only in 9th standard, started off: "Sir, I’ll be doing the talking." Then came their questions, clear, confident and professional: Do we have to pay you or will you pay us? If we give you our content, what’s the profit share? Will there be a minimum guarantee? We're minors, how will you pay us without bank accounts? Who signs the contract, us or our parents? If our parents sign, do they take our money or do we get it? I was taken aback. These weren’t kids’ questions, these were creator questions. Later, when I explained about copyright, Ashwin immediately asked: "Who owns it, you or us?" When I said "You own it," he asked, "Where do I apply?" I actually blurted out: "Bro, how do you know all this? I can learn from you." He smiled and said: "Ma'am, ChatGPT irukku, Google irukku, Gemini irukku. It’s easy." I said: "Okay, sir." That moment stayed with me. It reminded me of Hon. Minister @TRBRajaa words "You nurture, create the right environment, listen and provide support to enable overall growth. That's when growth happens in a steady and sustainable manner." That is exactly what we @Clip_comics hope to do. Enable, nurture and create the right environment for young voices. Sir, should we also be introducing comics on entrepreneurship and finance to children? My co-founder @aramanujaa and I would love to connect with you on this. We are a Chennai based comic startup and would be glad to share our portfolio.
