We had an author, David Pullar, who was a previous Ferryden pupil, come to open our library today. We are very grateful to our Parent Partnership who gave us a generous donation to improve the library, the children are so enthusiastic to read! #readingschools #welovereading

What a great morning @montrose_port with some of the lovely pupils and staff from @FerrydenPS. The pupils helped to fill and bury a time capsule and Lilly Hill from P5 won the competition to name the new O&M base as 'Windy Waves House'! #seagreencommunity

Today P4, watched an Authors Live with Gill Lewis! We listened to an excerpt from one of her novels and she talked about how to encourage wildlife in your garden. The novels that Gill Lewis writes tied in well with our recent habitats topic. We really enjoyed it! #BBCAuthorsLive

P4 took their Numeracy outside today for #outdoorlearningday! We practised our multiplication and division skills. Great fun!

Primary 4 had a very interesting afternoon learning about the creatures of the North Sea as part of their topic learning about ocean habitats. The children had a great time and we learned lots about these creatures! Have you ever seen a sea mouse?

We have extended our ELCC outside by building 'The Shed'. The children are loving their learning experiences outdoors🌟

A huge well done to Hayley, Caitlin, Kizzy and Maisie who organised and ran a bake sale, on Saturday. The girls were raising money to support our link school in Malawi. £160 was raised. We are all very proud of you. #P6FerrydenPS
