Genuinely how is this model expected to work when trad FG players typically utilize very little of the cast? This isn't a genre w/roles & universal move sets that requires/encourages flex switching. This really confused me about 2XKO's monetization goals.

The Marvel Rivals free to play strategy could honestly work for some fighting games. Big roster at launch, free dlc, consistent updates, and the majority of the profit coming from cosmetics. Obviously it’s a financial risk but if done right it could work

@Landon_D_ i absolutely get how coming over from tekken, especially as a pro, might make deadlock patches seem like wonderworld but it's not always sunshine and rainbows in this either.

@Landon_D_ i know we love to glaze deadlock atm but this game has it's own share of longstanding gamebreaking bugs and wild balance patches (which is more reasonable since it's not fully released).
similarly to tekken, not all the broken bugs/designs apre apparent to newer players

This bug in Deadlock got patched in like an hour and the Heihachi/Jack/Feng bugs in T8 are still in the game after a week. I waited a year just for them to give my main character another homing move. What is Bamco even doing over there???

@Speedkicks i really don't see any reason to submit feedback at this point. they got so much of it during s2 especially and only considered the smallest fraction of it.

Having a “feedback” portal where anybody can give you feedback in honestly the worst thing you can do. How about reach out to the actual pros/big names playing your game & get their feedback for balancing. Not “John Tekken” who has 40 DEF & doesn’t know any punishment.

Before people start going crazy it tracks 1 way which is to the right after 1+2 into hms. U can side walk it to the left. Also the 1+2 is only plus 2 on block. So u can jab lee, 11 frame move, armor, parry, heat etc. Hes just showing that u can't side step the strong side

@pxtatx_014 @PhiDXGames he explicitly gave you six sentences with an individual reason for why he thinks the patch sucks at a first read in each of them. one sentence where he thinks there's some good changes in the entire patch.

Tekken 8 Patch 3.0 is not "a small step in the right direction" but "many steps in vastly different directions"
Some characters were nerfed in solid ways that make a lot of sense (Anna CH > elbow, Nina b222, Steve armor, Yoshi 1,1)
Other characters got slaps on the wrist, or were ONLY buffed.
Weaknesses were intentionally removed. This contradicts the statement of focusing on strengths, weakness, and identity.
The only consistent thing was a focus on making things "easier." Unique tech and conversions were removed, offense was streamlined, and a lot of execution checks were completely removed.
According to this patch, situational awareness is not something that should be heavily rewarded, and cool things keep getting removed or simplified.
Generally the vibes seem down, and I'm personally pretty confused by the direction of the game.
