I like Barkey down the middle significantly more than I do at wing.
Sneaky good skater who can drive the middle lane with speed and good facilitator.
Keeps him out of 1 on 1 battles from a standstill, which is where his size often hurts him the most
@puckwatcherr I think when they were looking for announcers they went to ESPN the Ocho and were like “hey Slippery Stairs guy, you got anything going for the next month or two?? No??? Get on a plane to Raleigh NC!”
If the Flyers don't try to turn this into a circus, they're gonna lose this series 4-0 and none of the games will be particularly close. Playing them straight up isn't going to work. Way too polite so far.
I wouldn't pull Hathaway out unless Tippett is returning.
Yeah, Hathaway hasn't finished on some chances tonight. But he's actually making things happen. A lack of finishing doesn't bother me as much as it does others, because at least it implies offensive involvement. x.com/RyderSelmi/sta…
I don't follow prospects too heavy but I remember wanting the Flyers to draft K'Andre Miller just because I knew he was big as shit and fast as fuck and Hextall went with Jay O'Brien instead
@Scuba_Steve161 This may be bold to say, but if this team had, even half decent PP, they would’ve been a 3 or 4 seed.
I don’t understand why it’s acceptable year in and year out.
Michkov cannot turn over pucks in the d zone like that against this opponent. A low pace blind backhand in the D zone is never a good option. Canes up 1-0.
One thing about this Flyers run - when they’re good (actually fun, young, and dangerous - not Giroux captain era) it’s one of the coolest feelings in sports. Experienced this vividly in the 90s and 2000’s, and briefly during the Pronger era. It’s pure jet fuel injection.
