@A_Dan_Rainbow I do think it makes the sport look unprofessional, but I think it's as much on the TNT crew, not just parling. Parling overstepped putting hands on, but in elite football you wouldn't see a presenter trying to smash one top corner while a keeper is going through his warm up.

I might be in the minority but I don't think it's a great advert for prem rugby #GlovLei being played at a less than half full looking villa park. Sure it's a few more tickets but surely showing a game played in a packed out smaller stadium (with atmosphere) is a better advert.

@BlokeOnWheels @McKessackJohn It's amazing how many times I'm seeing that article across different media.
And that's the problem, 1 person commits an offence and it gets held up as reason to deny help to others who need it, by those who often have dont understand how difficult it is to get by on benefits.
English

I'm feeling rather pissed off this morning.
There is an article on the ITV website about a woman who claimed PIP because she was housebound with crippling anxiety. She was found to have committed fraud after images of her zip lining in Mexico were uncovered. Apparently she said that 'she didn't realise you're not allowed to leave your home'.
She literally told the DWP she couldn't leave home and based her claim off of that lie.
The problem is, it gives all the twunts exactly the ammunition they need to paint everybody else as liars and fraudsters, particularly with regard to claims for severe anxiety and depression.

@Spurspapers As a spurs fan I wouldnt feel like that was something to celebrate. I do however want to see clubs who cheat properly punished. Id much rather see proper sporting sanctions such as points deductions or if they are to be stripped of titles, the trophies are not re-assigned.
English

@RucksSake Surely it's a call come in from the TMO, so probably a couple of phases earlier.
English

Are we actually saying this is the high tackle he was penalising?? Because if it is then this is blatant match fixing. I don’t think it can be personally. Must have been earlier and got TMO call. Must have. Forget the Itoje pen because that was reaction to this pen.
Scoop 🐻 ☕️@Rugby_Scoop
How massive is this call? Jeeeze 😂😂😳😳 - thats bold call Mika. This must be investigated, there’s no way.

@patrick41116180 @bencoles_ I don't know, I reckon it might be an uncomfortable Sunday morning for the defence coaches 😂. Your point stands though, it was an great game despite the refereeing inadequacy.
English

@bencoles_ Nika Amashukeli was about the only person on the pitch to have a bad game yesterday
English

Steve Borthwick afterwards mentioned the confusion around this knock-on.
Fin Smith kicked the ball away, having been told England had a penalty advantage, right as Nika Amashukeli said it was just a knock-on (after a call from the TMO) and that advantage was over.
Led to Bielle-Biarrey's fourth (!) try.
"I think that World Rugby needs to look at that kind of situation. You can't have the players playing with certain knowledge and then it taken away from them."
English

@MahomeSZN You never want a player of that calibre to go, but It's good capital in return. we are never going to know whether it's a good trade until we see who we get with it and how they pan out. Need for a rebuild and reset mean it might be the right time to cash in some big chips.
English

@BBCMOTD The issue isn't whether it's given as a foul or not, the issue is that one week it is and chalks off a goal, but next week it's allowed to stand. Peter bankes was on TV this week stating "2 hands in the back is always a foul" but apparently that changed over the weekend.
English

@SarahForRuncorn Proving your identity.... The definition of irony. That a party full of rebadged Tories trying to disguise themselves as the new broom to sweep away the sins of the Tories talks about proving your identity.
English

Proving your identity is a legal requirement in the United Kingdom before you can vote.
You cannot prove your identity if your face is covered and cannot be matched to your photographic identification. Religious sensitivities must never override the law and certainly never the democratic process.
No one should be allowed into a polling station with their face covered.

English

@GoodwinMJ What absolute rubbish, family voting is nothing new, but it's suddenly an issue when its not going the way you want Funnily not a word was uttered when it was well to do families instructing their offspring to vote Tory.
English

@InvertTheWing We haven't helped ourselves this season with a lack of coherent attacks, but it's hard to not feel that we are being reffed to a different standard some games.
The biggest problem is inconsistencies. What's given as a foul one week is turned away the next.
English

@henrywinter 100% agree, but it has to be consistent and apply to both teams. Take the NLD, nearly every corner there was at least 1 arsenal player stopping the GK going for the ball, while making no attempt himself. It has to be zero tolerance, not just the odd random decision.
