In memory of my sister Margaret, we launched a Glioblastoma drug trial.
Now, Margaret’s Trial is open on the NHS - and offering real hope.
Ben, diagnosed with a Glioblastoma in 2022, saw his tumour vanish. His story helped make this happen.

I’ve been in many meetings with Ministers & MPs. But yesterday’s APPG Brain Tumours was better than most. @Siobhain_Mc is a determined Chair and, critically, health Minister @AshleyDalton_MP was genuinely listening and that’s a start.

Great to see @David_Cameron's bold and badly needed fight to make real progress on rare diseases. Glioblastoma (brain cancer) fits the bill perfectly as a potential area of focus. As highlighted in the recent #Darzi and @TJBCMission reports we need to see more genomic testing.

21 months ago I lay in a hospital bed wondering if I would ever walk again, write again or work again. After surgery, radiotherapy, and ongoing chemotherapy I wrote WHAT DOES IT FEEL LIKE? and yesterday I achieved another ‘impossible’ feat - a day’s photoshoot.

Sad to read this about Peter Hamilton. He was one of my earliest bosses along with the formidable (but also lovely) Maureen Smith. My career (and I think many others) was nurtured under their stewardship at The Communication Group. RIP Peter.
