Here's my response whenever someone says "receiver X is not a number 1."
"I'm not sure of the definition you're using, but if you tell me every receiver in the league that is a number 1, I'll tell you why he is or is not in that group."

That's a very high return for a player who is making market value, particularly with the Broncos buying into the decline phase of his career.

There is a big difference in target assignment methodology between @PFF and Sports Radar who does the PFR stats. Tony Jefferson is the poster child for 2025:
PFF: 14 targets, 62 yards, 4.4YPT
PFR: 22 targets, 207 yards, 9.4 YPT
