The leak of #Jananayagan is not an accident - it is the result of systemic failure. Had due process been timely, we would not be here. Inordinate delays in certification created fertile ground for piracy. When legal access is stalled, illegitimate channels take over. Piracy is beyond politics; it is an attack on the art and artist itself. It endangers the work of hundreds of artists and technicians, and the investments of honest tax paying producers, exhibitors and theatre owners, all who sustain the cinema we love. Who protects the creator when the system fails? We need accountability, swift certification, strict enforcement, and real-time takedowns. I trust true lovers of cinema will unite and give a befitting response by watching the film legally in theatres, as you stood with me in the past.

A love story that is allergic to anything marginally real, a revenge saga filled with contrivances, and a medical drama that rewrites basic logic. Telugu-Hindi bilingual #Dacoit tries to be everything and ends up being nothing. Review: filmysasi.com/dacoit-telugu-…

Ryan Gosling-starrer #ProjectHailMary is a refreshing sci-fi adventure about a lone scientist on a difficult space mission who forms an unexpected interplanetary bond, turning into a surprisingly moving story of kindness and hope. Review: filmysasi.com/project-hail-m…

80s Bollywood movies had genuine opening slates like these. This is Ghar Ek Mandir. The producer must have really loved his dog.

I used to work as a principal dancer in a musical called 'Jhumroo' in Kingdom Of Dreams in Gurgaon where Gaurav Gera played the lead character, Bhola. I had the opportunity to do a handful of shows with him as we danced & performed on Kishore Kumar classics He was huge on tiktok with his shopkeeper skits during that time. He was always Nandu from Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi for me! He is a case like many actors in Mumbai who trust the process & stick with it! In this oscillating career, one can easily lose faith but he has been resilient. His performance as Aalam is spectacular in Dhurandhar. He deserves a lot of praise ❤️

#Dhurandhar has rewired how mainstream Indian audiences engage with cinema on espionage and South Asian geopolitics. Naturally, #Dhurandhar2 (or Dhurandhar: The Revenge), arriving barely a quarter later, comes with immense pressure to like it. Not the lightweight peer pressure, but something far more societal. Should I dare to contradict this, my nationalistic brethren could scrutinise my integrity. This would also weaken my credibility as a critic. So, did I like the Aditya Dhar-helmed sequel starring Ranveer Singh? Well, yes, but largely as a fantasy, a sporadically thrilling extension of its predecessor. Do I get excused from being called a sociopath? I hope so. Review: filmysasi.com/dhurandhar-2-t…

@amazonIN What's the point of running customer care if you cannot convey a message to the delivery partner (despite my calling you four times) or give me their number so I can tell them myself? Absolutely terrible service, and it's beyond repair from what I can see.

@AmazonHelp No, I am not taking any more of your assurances. I have DM'd you the entire harassment story here. I can make it public as well - so everyone can read and never buy high-value items from Amazon. @amazonIN.

Once again, what is the point of running customer care if you cannot communicate with your delivery partner? I end up wasting my time speaking to your agents, only for the delivery people to do their own thing. If you could simply provide their number, I would convey it directly. But that option is not available on @amazonIN. Terrible service!

@AmazonHelp I have DM'd you. This is easily the worst series of phone exchanges I have had with any company's customer service. Never expected Amazon India to be so irresponsible.

From Judaai to Bulandi, I've been watching a lot of Anil Kapoor films of late. While the actor is top-notch in each, the writing and filmmaking often let him down. In his latest release, #Subedaar, I notice the same pattern, with its only real trump card being the leading man himself. Review: filmysasi.com/subedaar-film-…

#MasthishkaMaranam doesn’t ask you to switch off your brain. It dares you to use it. Blink and you miss the jokes. With bold, outrageous performances, Krishand’s film catapults Malayalam cinema into a new realm of creativity. I go with 4 stars. filmysasi.com/masthishka-mar…

@Vivaan_04 @bosanmiski47622 @NaviKRStan Currently, O Romeo is crawling at the box office despite offers that are unheard of. They have already removed the ratings from BMS, which is happening for the first time in their history. Plus, there will be removals in week 2 with the arrival of new releases.

@FilmySasi @bosanmiski47622 @NaviKRStan You are right but regarding numbers you are behind , mardaani has barely crossed 65cr worldwide and it will end at 75 cr worldwide...o romeo will gross around 130-150cr worldwide in it's lifetime

people in comments giving Haq's example, mind you Haq didn't even cross 30 cr at the BO She is right that people just don't show up for women centric films here, and therefore I have a huge respect for any actress who keeps on trying to make female centric stories regardless
Monica Verma@TrulyMonica

Tapsee Pannu knows her upcoming film Assi is going to be a big-time flop. So she has already started blaming audience for not watching women-centric films 🤡🤡🤡

No, it hasn't crossed yet. And regarding movies not working at pre-pandemic levels answers your own point regarding footfalls. If Mardaani 3 crosses Mardaani 2 in the OTT era, it is a huge achievement. That too at a time when medium budget films are not working at all at the ticket windows.

@Vivaan_04 @bosanmiski47622 @NaviKRStan Well... a far bigger film with a massive cast and a well-known director, O'Romeo, with all its seeding and insane discounts, may not cross the worldwide lifetime of Mardaani 3. Do read Box Office India once in a while and you would know how it works.

@aaradhyadaily @NaviKRStan Where has the makers of Mardaani 3 declared the film has a budget of 60 crores? It has no recognisable star other than Rani, the crew is new, has no major outdoors or even extensive VFX. It can cost, at best, cost 40 crores even if we stretch it to the maximum.

@FilmySasi @NaviKRStan Mardaani 3’s budget is 60 crores. It’s only termed a “success” because it stars YRF ki malkin
