I’m watching Yomi no Tsugai (Daemons of the Shadow Realm), and while it’s not terrible, it’s massively underwhelming.
It’s genuinely hard to believe this comes from the same mangaka who created Fullmetal Alchemist. The world-building feels thin, the characters generic, the plot unengaging, and the themes lack the weight and timeless depth of FMA.
I know following up a masterpiece like FMA is incredibly difficult, but I was really hoping for more.

Suikoden II HD Remaster is done!

+ Characters are well written
+ Satisfying turn based combat
+ The castle town you grow feels very alive
- Hate the army battles
- A guide almost required to get every character
- Can easily miss the true ending

You point being? If the claim is true, it's still 50k+ people that got their value from the game and then reneged on paying.
If it's not true, then that's a different conversation. But frankly, if you're such a purist as to REQUIRE a years' development time and individually crafted assets (and fuck all the creators that post CC-0 assets, they don't deserve shit apparently) before a team "deserves" to get paid for a game then we ain't got a hell of a lot to say to one another.

- It’s a customer first approach
- Deal with the refunds that happen
With no refund policy, there would be close to no sales. Very few would try out unknown indies.

An indie developer is asking Valve to change Steam’s 2-hour refund policy after more than 55,000 players refunded his game after finishing it. The developer says his co-op game, Paddle Paddle Paddle, can be completed in under two hours. Because of that, many players finished the game, asked for a refund, and even left reviews saying they enjoyed it but got their money back anyway. According to the developer, the game has over 90% positive reviews, but the high number of refunds is making it much harder for a short indie game to be successful. Steam currently lets players get a refund if they bought a game within the last 14 days and played it for less than two hours.

It’s a consumer first system, which beats the alternative. Any system will get abused by a few bad apples.

My actual opinion here is: game refunds? What? That shouldn't be allowed unless it was like a scam since you paid for it? Concept seems very strange. You don't get to refund a movie because you didn't like it.
