We are so sad to learn of the passing of Hamish MacInnes of Glencoe, at midnight last night. May his spirit always watch over the lost climbers of the Glen.

Good news for Final Ascent! Fresh from winning the Special Jury Prize at the Ulju Mountain Film Festival in South Korea on Oct 28, the film will be shown on #bbc4 Sunday Nov 1 at 9PM - tune in !

@Ian_Fraser @FinalAscentFilm Fantastic film and so glad he recovered from his more recent ordeal. What a magnificent collection of untapped archive footage we have in this genre. BTW I believe "Call-Out" is available on Kindle, might be easier than tracking down a paper copy.

'Final Ascent' is an excellent film. One highlight was the archive footage of Hamish McInnes being interviewed Mary Marquis in the 1970s. My son, who was watching with me, said: "the interviewers were more intelligent then".
