One reason I’m starting this account: I want to start contributing to the investing community instead of just mindlessly scrolling through it. I’ve learned a lot from people sharing their process, wins, losses, and mistakes. Now I want to do the same. Excited to get started.

Gene editing is finally here. And it's targeting the biggest killer in the world. Heart disease. Eli Lilly $LLY just released data for a gene therapy called VERVE-102. It completely changes how we treat high cholesterol. Instead of taking a pill every day, you get one single IV infusion. The medicine travels directly to your liver. It permanently turns off the specific gene that causes high LDL cholesterol. The early trial results are incredible. Patients experienced a massive 60% drop in their LDL cholesterol. Think about what GLP-1 drugs did for obesity. Five years ago, Ozempic was "just Phase 2 data." People said the side effects were unclear. The long-term outcomes were unknown. Now it's a $50 billion/year drug that changed how we treat obesity. GLP-1s rewrote obesity. VERVE-102 could rewrite heart disease. Medicine is moving faster than most people realize.

Eli Lilly has done it. They've gone and made what seems to be a powerful, permanent gene therapy for LDL cholesterol. That means they'll be able to effectively prevent most heart disease with a single infusion!

I recently spent 12 days traveling to Seattle, Juneau, Skagway, and Victoria. ⛴️✈️ The companies I saw CONSTANTLY on my trip were: $TOST Almost every restaurant we went to was using Toast. $MA and $V Everyone was using/talking about credit cards including in Canada (cross border fees for both companies) $AAPL Everyone has an iPhone, iPad, airpods, apple watch. Literally everyone. $META Nearly everyone is spending time on their phone scrolling, taking pictures for posts, and I even saw some WhatsApp usage. $GOOGL I saw multiple people using google lens in particular to look up different plants and other miscellaneous things. $UBER Especially in Seattle and Victoria tons of people were getting in and out of and ordering Ubers (me included) $SPOT I didn't see people's screens personally, but countless people were walking around in silence with headphones with a good bit of them likely listening to music or a podcast on the platform. $KO Coke is everyone and in a large quantity its almost unreal. Company will probably be around 100 years from now. Very fun to look out into the real world amongst a large group of tourists and take note of their behavior. Peter Lynch would be proud of my DD!

@stocktradingleo Will give this a watch! I’m really excited to see oral wegovy be rolled out in the UK soon! As doctors, knowing the impact it has on reducing MACE is fantastic! Are you also aware of its effect on cancer too?

$NVO saw an extreme correction, dropping over 70% from its peak over the last few years. But while correcting, it managed to create the first oral GLP-1 drug. Now it has the first-mover advantage compared to $LLY—all while trading at a P/E ratio of just 11 compared to Lilly's 36! For a deeper analysis, check out my new video: youtu.be/ECr8jXcSkGM

@operationdanish I’m so amazed by how much medicine has transformed over the past decade - wow! I wonder how it’ll be integrated in the community however. What criteria needs to be met to be eligible for treatment ?

@fdzmurillo The MACE benefits is invaluable, and when I counsel patients regarding GLP1s, the decision for wegovy becomes quite easy

Novo just made the Wegovy Oral story much bigger. This is not only Europe’s first oral GLP-1 for weight management. OASIS 4 confirms 16.6% mean weight loss when treatment was adhered to. 1 in 3 patients achieved ≥20% weight loss !!!!! And the key point: SELECT cardiovascular data is included in the label, showing Wegovy reduces MACE risk. So this is not just an oral obesity pill. It is oral weight loss + cardiometabolic protection + first-mover Europe. Lilly has a problem. $NVO $LLY $VKTX

@fdzmurillo @operationdanish Bang on! I love your attention to detail. As a doctor, when I prescribe medications there’s so much nuance to it. - is the patient on any meds? - have they got any contraindications? I’m excited for the arrival of oral wegovy in the UK, to prescribe for my patients 👌🏼

PCOS is being renamed to PMOS. Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome. The new name puts METABOLIC front and center. 10% of women of reproductive age. Hundreds of millions globally. Insulin resistance. Obesity. Metabolic dysfunction. A textbook population for GLP-1 treatment. Almost all of these women take oral contraceptives to manage their condition. From the Foundayo FDA label: "May reduce the efficacy of birth control pills." A metabolic disease affecting women on birth control. And a pill that breaks their birth control. Good luck prescribing that. $NVO $LLY $VKTX

GLP-1s could be part of the solution for the fertility crisis Expect a major announcement from $LLY and $NVO that they reversed PCOS (now PMOS) with GLP-1s. Fundamentally, this is metabolic syndrome, not a cystic one.
Pop Base@PopBase

PCOS is being renamed to PMOS. (Polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome) The change comes from experts that say the old name was misleading, stating that it inaccurately suggested ovarian cysts as a defining feature.

@Arturraposo1R Totally agree! Marketing is so crucial Everyone knows the name Ozempic; more so than wegovy for instance. Oral ozempic will be insane for revenue crunching!

You don´t know it yet, but this marks the beginning of $NVO reversal The Revenue from this product will stack up quickly There is some degree of resistance to using injections, specially for the first time. There is no such thing for pills. Some people treat them like candy nowadays, unfortunately. This expands the SAM by SO MUCH $NVO

NVO’s oral semaglutide is simply sensational. Did you know that it doesn’t JUST treat obesity, it also treats the following: - fatty liver disease - chronic kidney disease - prevents heart attacks and strokes - reduces cancer occurrence With oral version now out, patients prefer it - more tolerable and accessible too! I will be doing a deep dive soon on NVO, from the lens of a medical doctor 🔜 Let’s connect 🤝

Unpopular opinion: Selling a stock because it's up 60% is just as destructive as panic selling at a loss. Your best performers deserve your patience most. The discomfort of holding a big winner is your portfolio working exactly as it should. Discuss?

I’m a medical doctor, and NVO has completely done something magical. They’ve shifted the paradigm from injectable to oral treatment = more accessible & tolerable. It’s bought a whole other level to the GLP1 game; semaglutide is proven to treat MASH, it’s cardio & renal protective and now proven to aid with cancer. I’m making a post about this soon, a deep dive - tune in! 🔜

@apex_actuary I’ve looked at $NVO in the past it’s just a really competitive market and hard to tell who the long term winner is. I think a company like $UNH or $HUM is a more predictable long term winner
