Las Vegas police officers respond to a call of a male who had battered an individual and discharged a firearm in the parking lot of an apartment complex. After police arrived, the man exited an apartment holding a child hostage at gunpoint with a Glock 43X. As the officers fired the man holding the child also fired hitting the child. The man died on the scene & the child was transported to the hospital and later died from the gunshot wound. It's a good reminder to train for central nervous system shots. They're rarely needed but when you need to shut the lights off instantly, like a hostage situation, it's the only way to ensure the threat can't fire their weapon as they're hit.
