Movie night

Not a SINGLE SpaceX mission has ever garnered the kind of press & goodwill of Artemis II. And that's for good reason: humanity can never truly rally behind a corporation. NASA is for the people and by the people. SpaceX is for the shareholders.

So the problems on this mission were: - broken toilet - Outlook not working - unable to pair a Bluetooth device - communication with a vessel that's 20m away

@DaleStarkA10 Remember that time NASA set up a bunch of facilities in poor states to help them out. Or that time they flew a Saudi astronaut to inspire the Muslim world. It’s been like that ever since the agency was founded.

Jared Isaacman is absolutely killing it at NASA. After decades of boring DEI slop, the agency finally feels exciting and cool again. Refreshing to have some positivity in an otherwise depressing environment.

it's annoying to me that people keep criticizing andy weir's approach to politics and social commentary without even noticing that this attitude has led to a massive propaganda victory for the ideas andy weir specifically thinks are cool and interesting. storytellers don't usually change the world by setting out to change the world. they change the world by focusing on their craft and letting the story speak for itself. it's basically impossible to write a whole book without injecting your views into it, but the chiller you are about it, the better it works.
