But at the last moment, an influential minister from the UPA government intervened and stopped the operation If Ajit Doval had been given a free hand like he has today, many terror attacks that happened later — including 26/11 Mumbai attacks — could have been prevented.

If parity is the demand, CAPF officers are welcome to serve in state police on deputation at equivalent ranks (DySP/Addl SP).
