@Nigel_Farage Hopefully we hear you speak out on our ridiculous self defence and firearms laws which do nothing to deter crime and only embolden criminals knowing their victims cannot effectively fight back.

The attack last night in Huntington was horrific. My thoughts are with all the victims and their families. We need to know who committed these awful attacks as soon as possible.

@FirearmsUK @HowardMSklar @MorosKostas Yep. Except the difference is our founders looked at the entirety of the 1689 Bill of Rights and said “that’s a start, but definitely not good enough”. Which is why we also have a protected individual right to free speech, instead of what was only a right of parliament in the UK

@HowardMSklar @MorosKostas I merely pointed out the 2nd amendment traces its origins to British legislation. Your founding fathers simply improved the wording of it and clearly because of the circumstances people were willing to defend it. You are correct that this isnt the case in the UK

It's roots, maybe, but not its soul. Firearms ownership in Britain today is not considered a right. Our 2A came to be partially because the British sought to deny colonists that very right. Lexington—the "shot heard 'round the world"—was an attempted gun confiscation by the British. We are NOT the same.

@MorosKostas The 2A is purely American. And no, we won’t give it up. The UK is teetering at a tipping point. I feel for the English. They’ve taken suicidal empathy to a whole new level.

I want your views Following the Uxbridge attack where a man was randomly stabbed to death walking his dog and the attack on the LNER train that stopped at Huntingdon Is it time we legalise self defence products such as pepper spray

@dshensmith We have been saying this for years. Our laws are not for public safety that is the lie being told nor are they based on fact. But subjective knee jerk reactions and paranoia Glad its finally being talked about.

In the UK you can be sentenced for up to 10 years for carrying (not even using just carrying) pepper spray That’s right, in a country where people are being stabbed randomly walking their dog or on the train You can be jailed for trying to protect yourself It’s not right

@sophielouisecc We have been saying for years our draconian laws are not for public safety. There is no greater deterrent to criminals than the idea that their victims might be able to harm them. It has been shown time & time again to reduce crime. Glad it is finally being talked about.

We must be allowed to carry pepper spray at the minimum Imagine being stuck on a train with a maniac trying to stab you and having nothing at all to even try and fight back. Legalise pepper spray NOW

@sophielouisecc We have been pointing this out for years. Our laws are not for public safety but that is the lie that has been pushed for a century. Glad to see people finally talking about it.

@TheCriticalDri2 @SuzanneEvans1 It further shows 2 things Why bearing arms is important because there are people out their who want to kill people they disagree with Those that are usually anti gun are the worst for encouraging violence and project their own mental instability onto the responsible people

Whether you agreed with him or not, Charlie Kirk is dead purely because some people didn't like what he had to say. That should outrage every single one of us.

@IngrameThomas Yes. Further info. The US 2nd amendment is based on British constitutional acts. It could be argued we do have the right but no one is fighting for it.

Tonight’s question …………..🙄 If the U.K. had a second amendment right to carry arms would you carry a handgun to protect yourself and your family ?? A simple yes or no in the comments will suffice … ???

Brave man. Unfortunately he like everyone else is forbidden from having any means that could result in a more effective interference or even better a complete deterrence to violent criminals.

'I saw a kid getting stabbed, and I tried to save her' Abdullah is a security guard working nearby and intervened in the attack - he tells Sky News he "heard a scream", then "jumped on" the man who was attacking the child Full story ➡️ trib.al/IhTOZaD 📺 Sky 501

@BBCNews The police cannot protect anyone, unless of course you are someone special who gets 24 hour armed protection People are also legally forbidden to have the means to protect themselves. Why are we still failing to acknowledge this?
