Playing the PC port of Twilight Princess and it's my first time replaying the game in many years. Thankfully I was so impressed by the ease of setup and visual enhancements that the horrible pace of the introduction didn't stop me in my tracks like every other replay attempt.

@slime_machine I think a big thing is that almost nobody in America actually really truly lives in the "small town" so it's very easy to sell that false version of it. It's all about getting guys who live in a suburb to feel rural because they chose to drive a pickup truck to their bank job.

i grew up in a really small town and the most poppin place for us was the gas station
there’s no money or culture in these places just poor white people named Cashton and Amberleighh and they shop at walmart have a 90 month car loan no money down. that’s all america can give.

People romanticize the small towns outside of America's "megacities" but the reality is that those places have nothing going for them. Drive from Nashville to Chattanooga and once you're out of either metro area there's nothing between but dying farms, sundown towns, & meth.
