@NitinSud_@Rackspace Also would like to know how we can get the emails from Friday and Saturday that we haven't been about to see prior to re-routing our emails.
@Rackspace If anyone gets through can you try to find out what can be done to simply get the backups of our emails? Even if delayed in restoring, we should be able to get all our emails as a .pst file.
Hosted Exchange outage: Along with M365, a temporary solution allows mail destined for Hosted Exchange to be sent to external emails. Rackers are calling customers, emailing alternate addresses and addressing chats & tickets. Please view status info: bit.ly/3ui4CGk.
@bfcooper@markethardware I recommend calling GoDaddy to get your email transferred to them. When I called this afternoon they were extremely responsive, and now I can receive and send emails again.
@R1Lover@wvuginn@Rackspace@GoDaddy I wouldn't characterize actually being able to receive and send emails again thru Godaddy as going backwards. Quite the opposite. Godaddy was responsive and extremely helpful when I called this afternoon. Certainly willing to compensate them for their services rendered.
@wvuginn@Rackspace@GoDaddy Moving from rackspace to godaddy is going backwards... the only good thing is you are likely actually on microsoft directly and not godaddy. Godaddy is just making money on the deal.
To our valued customers who were impacted today by the issue on your Hosted Exchange account, we are sorry for the disruption & we appreciate your patience. An update & solution for you can be found on our status page. bit.ly/3OUnkNL
@GhettoDuck25@tjgokcen@Rackspace I moved to GoDaddy this afternoon. They answered the phone promptly when I called and were super helpful in getting my email switched over. Took about an hour and a half, and now I can receive and send emails again.
@tjgokcen@Rackspace Anyone have any experience using GoDaddy as an email provider? Our company wants to do away with RackSpace. I'll only be to retrieve some data that was saved on our Outlook folders.
We continue to work to determine the full impact of the Hosted Exchange issue. Since our last update, we have assisted numerous customers to get them online so they can resume activity. Please visit our status page for more details. bit.ly/3ui4CGk
@Rackspace I called GoDaddy and they answered the line within two minutes. It took about an hour and a half on the phone, but they were super helpful and able to get our platform transferred so that we can send and receive emails again.
We are aware of and actively investigating connectivity & login issues for Hosted Exchange environments and working diligently to resolve the issue. Please utilize our status page for the latest updates bit.ly/3EYpqHI. Thank you for your patience on this matter.
@behrendt_dan@masterbeat@JasonSCarter@Rackspace Sorry but I'm a layman at IT issues, but desperately need to get to my emails, and that's why I need help. What is a DNS record? If you can point me to any resource or person who can help with this, I would really appreciate it.
@FirmHarris@masterbeat@JasonSCarter@Rackspace Unless you have access to your DNS record you will have issues, this is not something that Rackspace has access to or can help you with. Also keep in mind that it won't restore your mailboxes, just allow you to send or receive new stuff starting when you activate it.
@masterbeat@JasonSCarter@Rackspace Looking for help with moving to Microsoft 365. Rackspace's instructions make no sense at all. Can anyone provide some commonsense help with this? Willing to compensate someone for their time. Thank you.
@Rackspace EVERYONE - it took 10 minutes to move to hosted Microsoft 365, all accounts, mailboxes, etc and am now happily sending & receiving again. You can all do it in half the time you're waiting for another update from Rackspace. And the interface is 100x better.
