First Pitch Cards

Heading into 2026, I looked at what my collecting focus will be. Trying to put some sort of limit on what I collect is tough but necessary. With a few exceptions for some random stuff, the attached pictures are what I hope to focus on this year. #thehobby #sportscards

Not the greatest picture and definitely looks bare. Happy to have my Brooklyn Dodger items on the wall. Thank you, again, @CardsCigarbox, for the great display. Took a while to get on the wall. Now, I need to find other items to display.

First Mega Box of 2026 Select Racing. Very shocked to find nine Orange Ice parallels. I’m a Dillon magnet as this is my 4th/5th Austin or Ty Dillon hit. Most excited about the Byron, though.

@BBGreatMoments All of them during my childhood were incredible because I loved baseball! 1991-2000 specifically. After that interest started to decrease. I’d love to watch the 1955 series. To see Brooklyn win, first colorized series, and hear Vin Scully.

@D_Frank34 @MrKdub I thought I had several for the set. Then I saw that the 10-12 that I have is nothing in the set of 90. There’s a few other sets I thought I was doing well on collecting, then saw they’re 90+ card sets.

@GroupOfFiveGuys I’m following D2 & D3 more because of many issues with FBS/FCS around NIL and transfers. I wish teams wouldn’t always chase money for conference switches (Cal in the ATLANTIC (ACC)) drives me crazy. Uniforms being so ver the top and losing the nostalgia and often colors.

What’s one thing, other than NIL/Portal, you wish college football teams would stop doing?
