Anyone out there have a traditional novena to St. Peter Martyr (Peter of Verona)? I know about the words of Gueranger being *used as* a novena (the one that begins "The victory was thine, O Peter! and thy zeal for the defence of holy Faith was rewarded"), but am looking for a novena proper. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Help?

@VitaDevotionis Thanks, friend -- but that's the one using Gueranger's text, alas. I mean, there's nothing wrong with that, but it isn't a proper novena. I've found a few in Italian but am iffy about translating them, KWIM?

@Magister_Mondo I played bongos (congas? I can never keep them straight) in mass once a year in high school. It was part of our Palm Sunday liturgy for the music played during the Palm Processional. God doesn’t stop being present in the Mass just because we start using percussion instruments.

The Catholic Suburban Rite is always so wacky--and there's always some new sort of wackiness to be found. Today, in Elk Grove, I heard bongos for the first time at Mass. Abundant greeters too: one at narthex entry, 3 at nave entry, then one at each aisle. Then a pre-Mass neighbor greeting.
