@mattstew100 @AdamCrafton_ @KieranMaguire Do we have to sell back via ESTC or can we list them on the FIFA resale market?
English

@AdamCrafton_ @KieranMaguire I'm an England fan with 62 caps and have restricted my trip to Group, L32 and L16 due to ticket prices. But now my co-traveller and I are now considering cancelling our attendance and reselling tickets. It's a rip off.

BREAKING
NJ Transit confirm @TheAthleticFC report of $150 round-trip rail tickets to World Cup at MetLife Stadium.
Alternative bus service is $80 (!) per passenger.
Locals in area to be asked to work from home if possible to help flow of stations.

@gavstravels @WeAreFreeLions Do you know if we have to sell them back via ESTC or can we go through the resale platform?
English

@WeAreFreeLions Am sick of it now. When can we sell tickets we bought off ESTC?
Not even booked flights yet if planes have fuel by then
English

We were initially told the prices would remain as standard, however this potential news comes as little surprise.
Another day, another rip off at this World Cup. What on earth is going on?

Exclusive @TheAthleticFC : Current NJ Transit plans for return train from NY Penn Station to MetLife Stadium during World Cup are for tickets to be priced at over $100. Usual price is $12.90, making it more than a 7-fold increase for World Cup fans. nytimes.com/athletic/71933…

@BMT31121988 Hi Benny! We completely understand how frustrating it can be to experience a delay with your refund—it’s really upsetting to have to wait for your own money. We have sent you a DM to gather your details so we can personally review this for you. ^aa
English

@nectarsleep worst company I have ever dealt with! Waited 20 days for my refund, called and was told it hadn't been put for processing by error. Asked for a manager to call me and can't even bother to do that. Shambles. Why should I wait any longer?

@Bricktop_NAFO No issue here, I’ve had posties bit by the smallest/ “oh it’s friendly, it won’t bit” dogs.

@TheSincilBanker @henrywinter Am I right in understanding you can't apply for a semi final ticket through your Member Association, without the Follow Your Team to all the group games and knockouts before?

“Two choices lie before you - will you demonstrate commitment to fans, and push FIFA to rethink this pricing? Or will you demonstrate complicity and do/say nothing?” Very strong email sent to FA board today about World Cup ticket pricing by one of England’s leading home-and-away fans, a top capper. Sentiments shared by many on England fans’ WhatsApp groups. FA may have to make a public statement on its position at some point otherwise the fans’ protests planned for the March internationals at Wembley could be even louder.
In fairness to the FA, it did privately voice fans’ concerns to FIFA about the ridiculous ticket prices. Following widespread outrage amongst fans and in the media, FIFA made a partial U-turn with its new category of “supporter entry tier” of £45 for all 104 games. While a welcome step in the right direction, fans point out this will benefit only 500-600 England fans for their games – 10% of their allocation. Fans want more of the allocation to be “supporter entry tier”.
“England’s loyal fans know that supporting our country, home and away, is not without cost,” acknowledges the fan in his email to the FA. “It’s factored in. It’s factored in when tickets/fixtures are released, and there’s a scramble to get booked up for trips to Wembley or those away games. However, it’s what we do for what we often cite as ‘the best hobby in the world’. However, FIFA have declared war on fans, treating our loyalty with disdain, whilst also plundering it for financial benefit.”
FIFA emphasises that "as a not-for-profit organisation, FIFA reinvests the revenue it generates from the FIFA World Cup to fuel the growth of men’s, women’s and youth football throughout the 211 FIFA member associations", all for the greater good of the game. To which, the England fan said to the FA, “Let me be very clear - there is no greater good for the wider, global game that is served by attacking and eroding the loyalty of fans.
“I like to think that when the players come over to applaud us fans after away games, there’s a genuine appreciation for what we do and the support we bring”. England fans want the FA to acknowledge that and fight for more tickets to be made available at more affordable rates.
One of the frustrations is that a diehard England fan might have missed one game through illness or work commitments and so misses out on the £45 tickets and has to go for a more expensive option if* (*if etc) England reach the final. “The $60 to $4185 final ticket jump is still sickening for many,” the fan says. “But England potentially getting through to a final and not having a ticket is also sickening.” #ENG

@england_tic Thank you, I’m on 18 caps but currently just meet the 70% for Ghana for doing 2 aways. If I select CAT 2 instead of CAT 1 would I miss out completely if more members above me apply when I could have got a CAT 1?
English

@england_tic On the application form if you apply for CAT 2 select to move down does that take you from CAT 2 to CAT 1 or CAT 2 to CAT 3? TIA

@usanewshq We’ll have to replace the start at the top with a pigs head 🐷

@AvantiWestCoast @DaveAirCEO Avanti this is a terrible look for yourselves
English

@DaveAirCEO Hi Dave, sorry to hear about the issue this morning. If you were looking to make a complaint, you can do so here, and it will be looked into by the Customer Resolutions team - railhelp.co.uk/avantiwestcoas… - Mike
English

Dear @AvantiWestCoast
You cancelled the 0721 this morning so my 14 yo son was on the 0821 New St to MK. (Already late for school). Before Coventry your train manager “Parmi” ordered him off the train because he was travelling on a child’s ticket and couldn’t prove that he was a child. I bought him the ticket because he is indeed 14.
He called me, I spoke with the TM who was plain rude. She insisted that we bought another ticket or I send proof. I sent a message of his birth certificate.
Since when does a 14 year old need to carry identification on them? Children do not have a licence, an NI card and certainly can’t travel with their passport.
Shameful behaviour from your member of staff.

@EnglandOnOurWay Do ESTC members pay the same price as this or are FA allocations cheaper?

Scandalous prices

World cup prices fucking hell over 2k for the final 🤕🤮

Your children don't need brand name jumpers in order to succeed at school — and with this Labour government, you don't have to worry about breaking the bank just because it's the start of the school year.
UK Prime Minister@10DowningStreet
Families shouldn't have to be out of pocket when doing the back-to-school shop. For the first time ever, this government are introducing new laws that will restrict the number of branded items a school requires to keep uniform costs down and help parents save money.
English

@FishyladBen Unfortunately not!
This is for the home game in September
