@Arkypatriot I love waking up in the dark and easing in to the day. School buses have lights.
English

Permanent Daylight Saving Time sounds nice until winter shows up.
Across much of America, that means kids waiting for buses in the dark, people commuting in the dark, and millions starting their day before sunrise for weeks.
Your body needs morning light to regulate sleep, mood, alertness, and health.
We already tried year-round DST in 1974. People hated the dark winter mornings.
Extra evening daylight is nice.
But forcing the whole country to wake up in the dark all winter? That’s not healthy.
Be careful what you ask for

@CodifyBaseball There is a point where your batting avg alone makes you valuable enough to play and be better than avg. If you can consistently hit over .333 with singles speed, stolen bases and be a good fielder with NOTHING else you can be a 5 win player and HOFer
English

@_ryanmcdaniel_ @CodifyBaseball This is not Arraez because he is slow and sucks on defense and has hit over .350 only once.
English

@CodifyBaseball This is like Luis Arraez but better because you almost never hit into a double play and always move runners with your outs. If there's a runner on base you basically always make a productive out, unless you strike out bunting.
English

@CodifyBaseball He's a HOFer. The season would be
720 PA's
240 hits
30 Walks?
5 HBP
60
Make him a second baseman.
732 OPS.
Avg that for 10 years.
2400 hits.
600 SBs.
.350 avg.
382 obp
732 ops
If he's a
SS 5.5 WAR
2B 4.5 WAR
3B 5.1 WAR
LF 3.5 WAR
CF 4.3 WAR
RF 3.4

@JeremiahDJohns Why? What is so exciting about 3 pointers and flops when driving?
English

This three minutes of basketball is aesthetically ugly, less athletic, less strategically complex, less skilled, and all-around just objectively worse than the basketball played today in the NBA.

First 3 minutes of the 1998 Game 6 NBA Finals Basketball used to be so pure 🔥

@omgsidewalks The only thing settled is you think taxing everyone is the answer and that isnt science it's retarded.
English

Honestly, I’m sick and tired of grown adults calling the climate crisis a hoax. It’s not even a debate, the science has been settled for decades. Your ignorance is not just embarrassing, it is actively destroying the planet and every living thing on it.

@SethDavisHoops Because he got out of the way. Another idiot looking for clicks.

This is clearly a foul and an important rule. The shooter’s landing area must be protected. Not sure why there’s a controversy here.

De'Aaron Fox was called for a foul on SGA here. 😅

It is an incredible honor to receive an endorsement from Congresswoman Maxine Waters.
She has been one of the most powerful voices in Washington as Ranking Member of the House Financial Services Committee, opening the doors of banking and finance to Black and Brown communities who were locked out for generations.

@cubsfan858 @BoiseDon @CodifyBaseball And your opinion sucks which was the whole point so you succeeded
English

@BoiseDon @FixNFL_MLB_NBA @CodifyBaseball Don’t need to convince you.
The post asked for opinions and I provided mine.
English

@TheMeefersons @FolliesBlue @CodifyBaseball Believe it or not guys like Ichiro batted .660 when bunting for a hit. He only did that 100 times in his career. However it doesnt count bunts that go foul and then you swing away and obviously teams would adjust.
English

@FolliesBlue @CodifyBaseball What is your source that bunting is .500
English

@DailyBaseballYa @cubsfan858 @CodifyBaseball Having to watch 1000s if pitcher at bats for one moment of comedy isnt worth it. Even the pitchers like Bumgarner who people think could hit were terrible
English

@cubsfan858 @CodifyBaseball I honestly agree, I believe the AL and NL should have some quirky differences, and we got some legendary moments like the Bartolo homerun
English

@cubsfan858 @BoiseDon @CodifyBaseball There was no chess. Everyone did the exact same thing. Pitchers dont even pitch enough to have a decision to keep or pull anymore. They all bunted if runners were on with less than 2 outs. Literally no element of anything other than boredom and time wasting involved.
English

@BoiseDon @CodifyBaseball Don’t care, it added an element to the game that is now unfortunately gone.
Manager chess playing has been significantly reduced, no more trying to figure out if you send a pitcher for an AB to get another inning out of him. Other decisions as well. It’s a shame imo.

@CodifyBaseball The DH is one of the best ideas ever and pitchers hitting involves zero strategy

Been living in New York City for around five years now.
Yes, it’s expensive, taxes are high, and there are some interesting characters walking around. Those are some of the costs.
Here’s what we get:
Access to the best restaurants in America, no matter what type of food you’re in the mood for.
Everything our family needs is just a short walk away.
You constantly get to see friends in person, as they’re always passing through.
Some of the best public and private schools in America.
The network you build here, just by going about your day-to-day life, is incredible. You run into some of the most interesting people doing the most amazing things at the highest level.
Access to the best doctors in the world.
The career opportunities here are immense, no matter what you do.
Central Park – my go-to spot – never gets old.
If you’re a shopper, there’s nowhere better in America.
If you’re an entrepreneur, this city forces you to think bigger on a daily basis.
Broadway, sports, concerts, comedy – the highest level of entertainment, right in your backyard.
The subway. Yes, the subway – and yes, millions of normal people take it every day – gets you around this place like a time machine.
It’s a wonderful place to raise kids. Every kids' activity you can think of is just blocks away. Our son loves the Natural History Museum, and endless playdates are available either in our building or within a three-minute walk.
Maybe all those folks who can afford to live anywhere in the world but choose to raise their families here aren’t so crazy after all.
