I just got off the phone with my dad. Recall that last time, after replacing all of his diversified bond fund shares with $STRC, my dad began fantasizing about selling all of his stocks and going 100% Stretch. (He absolutely LOVES the idea of steady, reliable monthly dividends with minimal volatility.) He has decided to stop short of dumping all of his stocks. Instead, he will keep his total US stock market shares (the mutual fund equivalent of $VTI) and only sell his international stock market shares (the mutual fund equivalent of $VXUS). This will let him buy another huge slug of STRC on Monday,** at which point he will have a 50/50 stock/STRC allocation. We had a lengthy discussion of the risks of international stocks, of stocks in general, and of STRC in particular, and he seems comfortable with this new split allocation. There's something else I can't help but notice. My dad sounds excited. He used to hate dealing with his investments. He treated it like a chore — the way most people talk about going to the dentist. Learning about, buying, and owning $STRC has injected new curiosity and vitality into him. It's almost as if my dad is having fun now. This would not have been possible with any other ticker — except maybe $SATA, which I actually did mention to him. The world isn't ready for boomer dads*** all over the country to discover digital credit. ✨ --- **I tried to suggest that he place a limit order for $99.99, but he REALLY doesn't like the idea that limit orders don't guarantee execution. He's going to smash-buy a market order again. 😆😆 ***I also had a 3-hour phone call with my stepmom about #Bitcoin, @Strategy, @MSTR, and $STRC last weekend. She followed along surprisingly well, and she's eager to learn more! The orange-pilling continues. 🧡

I’m shifting back to the OGs I was trying to find projects that I thought had upside and as soon as momentum builds they just rug. Just opened a new position. $MSTR $130 put 6/5. 6 contracts at $3.10. $1,860 collected. $MSTR is at $170. My breakeven is $126.90. The stock needs to fall 25% before I lose a dollar on this trade. Here’s why I like this setup right now: IV on $MSTR is 81.74%. That’s elevated and good enough for me. When IV is that high, option sellers get paid a premium for the fear in the market. I’m collecting $3.10 on a put that’s $40 out of the money because the market is pricing in significant downside risk that I don’t believe will materialize. Theta is $0.115 per contract per day. On 6 contracts that’s $69 in time decay working in my favor every single day the market is open. 39 days to expiry. The $130 strike matters because it lines up with strong support — that’s roughly where $MSTR was trading before the April rally. It would take a full reversal of the last 6 weeks of price action for this trade to get threatened. My target is 50% profit — close at $1.55. At current theta that could happen in 2-3 weeks without $MSTR moving at all. Running total realized since the beginning of March: $6,098. Another $1,860 now working.
