@_chloeswarbrick Forcing physical presence is a means of control. It's fundamentally exclusionary. Learning to communicate without physical presence is difficult though, so some are afraid of it.

Zoom Parliament *is* Parliament sitting. Forcing unnecessary physical presence of MPs on site not only puts staff and our communities at unnecessary risk, but makes the whole thing way, way less efficient for *democratic accountability.*

@_chloeswarbrick Not everyone listens to politics. Some people just 'feel' a speech, and judge by whether it feels right or not, without any regards for the content. We need politicians who can say that which is both factual and feels right. That feel is key, and is something the right mastered.

While the hypocrisy is hilarious, I’m also just so, so tired of a political landscape where facts don’t seem to really matter.

@timClicks Out storage mechanisms are just not good enough yet for uncontrolled renewables at the scale needed to solve issues. The pricing thing isn't the problem, it's just an indicator that the power can't be used.

@engineering_bae It's real hard to evaluate a position based on the lines and view they feed you in an interview. It takes like 3-6 months to figure out if you even like the culture of a place.

Never forget that interviewing is a 2 way street. People are sometimes confused about me being so deliberate about this job search, but I'm doing this because I officially realize that I am a national treasure 🎁👑

@engineering_bae I'm so glad I live in a country where this isn't even a consideration. Really though, I went on my partners insurance for a minute until I was setup again (moved to another country). Software dev is one of those skills they need literally anywhere you want to go.

Without picking sides, talking perfections or imperfections, FREEDOM OF SPEECH IS A PILLAR OF DEMOCRACY and I think anyone and everyone should worry when a private organisation chooses who’s speech is heard and who’s is not.
