Masataka Yoshida—who makes $18.6M—has received 46 ABs this season. That equates to ~1.5 ABs a game. He’s currently rocking a .393 OBP which would rank 16th in MLB if he qualified. Lots of drama lately, less we forget how bad Craig Breslow’s roster construction is.

Chad Tracy understands how to manage the youth of this team. The first move he made was moving Roman Anthony to the 3rd spot in the batting order. He has said he wants Marcelo Mayer to get comfortable at 2B, instead of making him a part time SS. He understands he also needs to see more left handed pitching and wants to see him get AB’s against them. He wants to use their strengths also.
