What I find interesting about the Newsoms is that they both relentlessly promote liberal/left ideologies that are corrosive to family formation and undermine traditional values. However, at the same time, they've been in a heterosexual marriage for 20+ years and have 4 children together. By those measures, they are more "trad" in terms of their own lifestyle than most Americans are, even a lot of conservatives aren't married with 4 kids.
So what that tells me is the Newsoms KNOW that the traditional family model is the best; that's why they chose it when they both could've chosen anything else. But as elites they still promote insidious ideologies that end up harming the ordinary people who listen to them. It's a perfect illustration of "luxury beliefs."

@Phillyastro @HansFiene If by nice you mean submits to your every will and whim, yeah those will be harder to find. If you mean a pleasant woman with a good mind and heart who wants to do good in the world, well, in that case you can find lots. Of course you must also make sure you are a nice boy.

Another appalling and disgraceful effort by DHS to mislead the public and erode rights secured by the Constitution.
The Fourth Amendment requires a judicial warrant to enter a home. The purpose is to ensure that a separate branch of government serves as a check.
An administrative warrant comes from the executive branch, the same branch seeking entry. It’s like getting permission from yourself. This is wholly insufficient under the Fourth Amendment.
What DHS is doing is about as un-American and anti-American as it gets. Americans fought a revolution over this, and everyone should speak out against it.

If an illegal alien has a final deportation order from an immigration judge and they refuse to leave, they are a fugitive from justice. In every case we serve an administrative warrant, there is probable cause and the illegal alien has had full due process and a final order of removal. Every illegal alien who DHS serves administrative warrants/I-205s have had full due process and a final order of removal from an immigration judge. Administrative warrants have been used for decades and the Supreme Court and Congress have recognized the propriety of administrative warrants in cases of immigration enforcement.

Sure would be nice if @Target, a Minnesota based company would tell ICE they can't come on store premises without a judicial warrant.
If they really wanted to serve the community, that woukd be pretty based.
Every grocery store and retail store should do the same.

Watch this. An expert examination explaining all the ways the ICE agents behaved counter to training and guidelines by 1. being immediately escalatory and 2. By firing at a fleeing vehicle, which they are not allowed to do.
Anyone who listens to me knows I’m often very defensive on behalf of cops. They have hard and dangerous jobs. But a bunch of masked agents acting like unprofessional goons and a government telling lies right out of the gate about the incident, which are immediately disproven by the video footage, does not earn the same benefit of the doubt. At least not from me. This is insane behavior from the ICE agents.
And it is horrifying that so many people don’t hold members of American law enforcement to a higher standard than the behavior on display here.
