@degauntier @mickenell @robstaton @EFL I understand the world, if you are positive and ask for what you want you have a chance of it happening. It does work as my life is great, so hoping it also works for my football club. Back what you love, not what you hate. The world is a much nicer place then.

@Fleety10 @mickenell @robstaton @EFL I don't think you understand how X or the EFL work. You know they don't reply to randoms shouting into the void ? Even when they're entitled Wednesday fans like you?

A statement has been released by David Storch, preferred bidder at Sheffield Wednesday #SWFC Key points: They have been informed that a 15-point penalty is set to be imposed at the start of next season, despite submissions to the EFL making a case against it. Dejphon Chansiri has not agreed to write down or restructure the debt he is owed and repeated attempts to engage him, "have gone unanswered." "The full scale of the serious infrastructure challenges (at Sheff Wed) has become apparent." Club described as "in distress" in current form -- but Storch insists, "it remains our absolute intention to complete this transaction by 1 May." Storch says they have committed to immediately address the serious infrastructure issues, "on the basis that the EFL agree to a reasonable approach to the intended 15 point penalty to be applied next season." Calls on fans to make their voices heard.

@Fleety10 TBH, Monopoly is a game I haven’t played much. Never had the time. Happy that you have good memories of your grandad to take the time.

You know when a child or a spoiled brat loses at Monopoly because they want to buy everything on the board & don’t handle their money well even though they know the rules? A lot of Wednesday fans are acting the same way.

@noevidenceleft @robstaton @EFL Not asking for that at all, we all make mistakes. But punishing others for your mistakes/rules doesn't seem right for me.

@noevidenceleft @robstaton @EFL Not sure why you are laughing at your own response. Without EFL sanctioning an owner they can not become an owner. So if they don't not sure who actually does.

@CriminalCosta Every version of PES was far better than any Fifa, even better with a USB kit upgrade.

PES dying off for that eFootball shit was a tragedy. Year on year it was a smarter offline football game. Could play real football and every team played differently. Perfect FIFA alternative made with actual passion and care and they killed it.

@Fleety10 Hi, I am sorry for the delay. This is due to the fault with the signalling system at Southampton Central earlier today. ^DM

@MMcEwanGolf He deserved it for sure, but realistically he would have not won it without the Ryder Cup performance. Golf should make more team events to connect to a wider audience. Plus they are a great spectacle 👌

"But Michael, why is Rory McIlroy winning the BBC Sports Personality of the Year award so significant to you? Why do you even *care*?" Okay. So... He's only the third golfer in the 71-year history of the prize to win it. He's the first since Nick Faldo in 1989. He was up against seriously formidable opposition on the six-person shortlist. Most significant of all? It was a public vote that determined the winner. Why does that part matter. A couple of reasons, one maybe more intangible than the other. 1. It often feels as though golf is still in a fight to own its own identity in the face of other people's attitudes, perceptions and misconceptions. "Stuffy." "Full of old people." "For rich folk only." "A white man's sport." I've heard it all. I still do. But that's not the golf I know. It's progressive, inclusive and enriching. It's an amazing industry to work in, full of wonderful, talented and passionate people. But trying to convince people of that truth in the face of intransigence and misinformation? Believe me, it's not easy! And so the fact the British public lined up behind Rory tonight - and the European Ryder Cup for that matter - feels incredibly significant. Maybe it's too much to call it a watershed but it seems as though it could be. 2. I love this sport. I truly love it. I know how hard it is, the sacrifices the best players have to make, the extraordinary difficulty of it, the fact that failure is a constant companion and, hey, you better get used to that. It might just be the hardest sport of all to be bang-average at never mind good. Great? Good luck with that. World-class? Behave. And so when you see somebody like Rory do something truly historic - as he did at The Masters in April - you want the world to stop with you, to care like you do, to be as stunned and as delighted and as thrilled as you are. Again. Not easy. And for sure, that makes us defiant. We get a little meta. We get a little this-really-matters-to-me-so-it-ought-to-matter-to-you. BUT... What Rory did this year truly *was* historic, it *was* momentous, and it *was* extraordinary to witness. Without exaggeration, it was one of the greatest personal and professional privileges of my life to be there to see it happen. Again, because I love it. And because it's so damn hard. And because I'm only doing any of what I do because I was a fan long before. I dunno, it's maybe just nice to see that the thing I love being appreciated beyond my funny circle. It's most certainly nice to see it being celebrated on a show I used to set my watch by as a sports-mad kid. Anyway. Congrats, Rory. Helluva year.
