@TheDezembro Thank you for writing this. I was ability to play AC3 for the first time, and I have both versions. Would you recommend skipping the remaster?
Assassin's Creed 3 (original) was de-listed when they released the Remaster, which I'll remind you, had character models looking like clay.
There's been a lot of morons saying "who cares, the original is still there" in regards to Assassin's Creed Black Flag's changes.
Not just the Bonny shit either, I'm talking everything. The entire game's design is shifted to the RPG model. It won't play like the old one.
They SAID they won't be delisting Black Flag.
But they also said we should get comfortable not owning our games, and they didn't bother listing the original AC3 either nor FIXING the ugly ass character models in the remaster.
So, idk. If you never played the OG and you want it, keep that in mind.
I'm all too used to being told 'stop judging games before they're out yooouuu griifffffter' but I'd buy this over the Remake anyway because better visuals don't make for a better experience.
The shift towards the RPG model is dumbfounding to me. Clips of people swinging at a fucking crocodile or a jaguar 15 times to kill it looks like a rehash of the same mistakes Shadows committed.
It's time for Post Apoc to be nasty, scary and adult again. If I can capture a tiny iota of what I want to in my TTRPG, I'll know that I've made a small difference.
@007GameIOI I love the song. I’m looking forward to the gadgets and new approaches to stealth! I’ve so looked forward to this game that I’ve watched Bond classics on my exercise bike to prepare!
Countdown to launch and there's only 3 days left!
Let us know what you're most looking forward to in the comments.

@calvindyson Hey there! I asked this once before but I thought I’d try just one more time: Could you perhaps recommend some pre-First Light novels/films to enhance the gameplay experience? Cheers!
@FlixandPixels@harleyskooky Tim Burton's Batman, all designed by the late Anton Furst who got inspired by Burton's passion for German Expressionism and Fritz Lang's Metropolis
@RealJamesWoods I have immense respect for your work (and your Simpsons cameo is one of the best in the entire series).
I'm planning to watch "Once Upon a Time in America" after finishing the Man With No Name Trilogy. I must ask: What was it like working with Sergio Leone?
@Sinnoware Thanks! I like your threads - they've gotten me thinking about great immersive sims to play. On a sci-fi tear now after a long time spent playing fantasy games, so Prey is top of my list!
@FlixandPixels@kalaelizabeth And in general isometric RPGs will always be better RPGs. They have so many more resources to really dive in the roleplay freedom of choices and consequences
I used to be very Tolkien about wizards and magic but more and more I find myself becoming very Robert E. Howard about wizards and magic.
Those who have ears, let 'em hear.
