This morning, I visited Mzee Sylvanus Isiagi, a former member of Parliament and Minister, at his home in Kwari Kawar, Kachumbala, where he has been unwell recently. At 98 years old, he remains a radiant source of knowledge, wisdom, and insight, guiding us as we continue to serve the nation. Mzee Isiagi served in Uganda’s first Parliament and was also a minister during the Milton Obote administration. His remarkable contributions over the years continue to inspire us all.

@JoelSsenyonyi There is no single time such monies have been returned, you have been here long enough. Just like the Mps, the economy is tough on all of us. You and other like minded Mps should pick the money, look out for 5 projects employing over 20 youth and inject 20M in each project.

We are taking some steps, and the first one is this joint resolution that is to be signed by all MPs who didn't pick the 100m shs. Some have asked, what if those who picked the money also get to sign! Well, on our side we've got to play our part. Those who sign even though they picked, it shall eventually catch up with them. Our keen eye is continuing to dig up information on this matter.

My attention has been drawn to concerns by the Business Community on  the implementation of the Electronic Fiscal Reciepting and Invoicing System (EFRIS) by Uganda Revenue Authority. I am also aware that a harmonisation meeting has been scheduled by His Excellency the President with the Business Community. I urge all the relevant parties to amicably resolve the sticky issues on the matter for the good of the Country.
