Building on the successful delivery of 220 units under Phase I of the Machakos Affordable Housing Project that is now occupied, the Government, through the State Department for Housing and Urban Development (@HousingUrbanKE), has commenced Phase II, with foundation works already underway.
This continued investment reaffirms a firm commitment to deliver tangible, life-changing projects to Kenyans across the country, even in regions long associated with prominent political figures but where such transformative impact has often remained elusive.
Adjacent to Phase I, the new phase will deliver 570 additional housing units across four 14-storey blocks.
Through this programme, the Government is addressing housing needs while also fostering sustainable employment by equipping workers with practical skills, steady incomes and opportunities that extend beyond the lifespan of the project.
The successful implementation of this phase is further strengthened by the critical support of the State Department for Internal Security and National Administration, whose role in ensuring a secure, well-coordinated environment remains essential to the timely and efficient delivery of the project. @InteriorKE

The Nanyuki Affordable Housing Project in Laikipia County, a high-priority government development under the Affordable Housing Programme, is now complete and ready for occupancy.
The project comprises 200 residential units designed to offer modern, dignified living across different income levels.
The estate is supported by essential amenities, including a 120,000-litre water tank for reliable supply, solar-powered lighting for common areas, parking, green spaces and paved pedestrian walkways.
Building on the success of Phase One, a second phase targeting an additional 800 units is planned within the same 5-acre site, an expansion set to sustain job creation, stimulate the local economy and deepen access to quality housing.
Interested persons can apply for these units via *832# or through the official Boma Yangu platform: bomayangu.go.ke
The State Department for Internal Security and National Administration has played a key role in supporting the project's successful delivery through coordinated security and administrative oversight and will continue to ensure safety and order within and around the estate as residents move in.

For 120 years, Maseno has been producing the type of students who read novels for fun, debate teachers for sport, and treat academic excellence like a birthright.
While other schools produce candidates that celebrate mean grades. Maseno produces Cabinet Secretaries, professors, judges, diplomats, blue chip CEOs, and those people who correct your English before disagreeing with you. The school assembly you see here sound like a United Nations symposium with hymn books.
Tomorrow, State House is simply making a courtesy call to the cradle of academic excellence. The President will not just be attending a celebration; he will be entering a 120-year-old institution that has quietly convinced millions of Kenyans that wearing that that navy-blue blazer automatically raises your IQ by 17 points.
If you’re coming to the celebrations tomorrow, kindly note that the Kisumu–Busia Highway will resemble an economic stimulus package on wheels. Traffic officers will be overwhelmed, Google Maps will start questioning life choices, and every third person will claim they “once studied near Maseno.”
Should you get lost in the maze while inside the school compound, all you need will be to blink twice and our Geography department will send someone to you with a map to Jacob's Well.

An African Daughter Ascends: Kenya’s Gift to the World, Amb. Dr. Monica Juma.
We celebrate one of Kenya’s finest daughters, Amb. Dr. Monica Juma, DPhil, EGH. Her appointment as Director General of the United Nations and Executive Director of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime is a moment of pride not only for our nation but for the entire African continent.
Her integrity, vision, and steadfast service embody the values we hold dear. As she takes on this global responsibility, we wish her godspeed and assure her of our unwavering support. Kenya and Africa stand taller because of her.
When one daughter ascends, a whole nation rises.

Hon. Hon. Njeri Maina, I agree the tax payer is going to bear the burden of paying for the SGR extension to Malaba. It is a fact… but wasn’t it the same taxpayer that bore the burden of paying for the Thika Super Highway whose economic viability is still in question! Wacheni kutubeba mafala. When it comes to Western Kenya, you become too noisy.

The protracred conflict in the eastern region of the Democratic Republic of Congo has endured far beyond what humanity can reasonably bear.
For decades, it has claimed innumerable lives and driven countless families from the safety of their homes. A generation of children has been stripped of its innocence, deprived of education, and denied the simple promise of a stable childhood. Normal commercial activity and cross-border trade- lifelines of regional prosperity- have been gravely disrupted, stalling development and deepening hardship.
This prolonged suffering is a profound injustice to the people of Eastern DRC, who deserve lasting stability and the chance to build a peaceful, dignified, and prosperous future for themselves and their nation.
At the Donald J. Trump United States Institute of Peace in Washington, D.C., was honoured to witness the historic signing of a peace deal between President Félix Tshisekedi of the DRC and President Paul Kagame of Rwanda.
The Washington Accord now stands as the most credible and hopeful pathway to ending three decades of conflict and inaugurating a new chapter of friendship, cooperation, and mutual progress in our region.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, for his steadfast commitment and decisive leadership in helping bring this historic agreement to fruition.
We likewise honour the invaluable contributions of the East African Community, the Southern African Development Community, and all mediators whose tireless efforts shepherded the peace process to this defining moment.
We now call upon all parties to faithfully uphold and implement the terms of the Accord so that the people of Eastern DRC may return to their homes, rebuild their lives, and reclaim the peace, dignity, and hope that have long been denied to them.
