@SophieMcDLaw Well yeah... But capitalism doesn't work that way and it's based on the idea that if you really wanted to do better (meaning make more money) you would because people like Elon Musk exist and are used as examples of what's supposedly possible for everyone. Basically, we're lazy.

the night I met my boyfriend I literally couldn’t sleep because I was smiling so hard from how much fun we had we met up again the next day for burritos even though I’d had a tooth filling and half my face was numb from novocaine but we were excited to see each other again and both wanted burritos there was an ease about it all. a natural chemistry and comfort. that’s what you want to look for and feel when you’re dating. when it’s the right person, you won’t need a green flags list, you’ll just feel at ease. you’ll feel it. the ease.

@noampomsky It gets tricky to integrate this kind of thinking when you've been raised by people who keep doing bad things and expect you to only judge them of their supposed good intentions while they never take the time to do the same for you.

@HeidiPriebe1 I'd love it if I could just live and stop being taught lessons though. Why does everything need to be "a learning experience"? I don't think non-traumatized people think that way.

Sometimes the Universe teaches you a fun lesson, like 'There's more! It's all going to be okay!' And other times it teaches you a lesson like 'You're not above the parts of the human experience that involve feeling pathetic & desperate and until you integrate that, I'll just keep sending you worse & worse scenarios until you break open!'
